Since I was introduced to this restaurant, I kept going there and I abandoned P.F. Changs. I love the taste of the food. The atmosphere is relaxed, the value is good. I highly recommend this if you are in the mood for good Chinese food that is not too greasy, not deli style yucky, and better than P.F. Changs! To understand why I am saying this, try Kung Pao chicken, cashew nut chicken, general Tsao, garlic eggplant, to name a few. Really tasty almost like home made Chinese.
Pros: Great ambiance, fantabulous tasting Chinese food.
Cons: The outside does not look as nice as the inside.

Great food, the General Tso Chicken is my favorite. I have been going for years, food as always been good. It is my grand kids favorite Chinese Restaurant also.

I have probably eaten here 25+ times and always look forward to the next visit. My wife and kids love it as much as I do. The service is consistent and the food is excellent. Even my Italian wife agrees they make the best deep fried squid she has ever eaten. Mu Shu Shrimp is spectacular. I regularly eat in high end restaurants across the country and am always amazed by how much I enjoy this restaurant. I wish they weren't quite as popular with the locals, but I can deal with an occasional short wait!

Sea Garden is delicious and fabulous. The variety for dim sum is vast and there is no question of cleanliness in the restaurant unlike MANY other Chinese restaurants (unfortunately).
Many Westerners not used to Chinese service style may be taken back by the service, but comparably I think it's pretty good. I have been eating here for almost 10 years and I have never eaten better Peking Duck than here in Belleview, not Beijing, Sydney or New York...here at Sea Garden. Imagine that.

The General Tso's chicken is excellent, the coconut prawns are superb, the fried rice is great and the egg fu yung is the best I've ever had. This is one of the two best Chinese restaurants that I've eaten in in the Seattle area and I've eaten in many. My wife and I both highly recomend it.

Not only is this intimate Chinese cuisine exceptionally known on the Eastside for its talented culinary skills and delicacy, this is an extremely affordable, family-oriented restaurant. It's the kind of restaurant you can bring your kids to on a Friday night, as well as a restaurant that can serve as dining for two in an intimate seat by the fireplace, serenaded by the live piano. A great place to take your date! This restaurant accomodates to both the family-oriented and intimate-date setting. After eating a meal at Shilin, you leave only craving for more of this gourmet, Chinese restaurant. I recommend the General Tsao. It's DELICIOUS! The service is significantly better than other Chinese restaurants around the Eastside area. There was hardly any wait time to be seated promptly. Shilin is by far, my favorite restaurant on the Eastside. Try it out!

I have been living in the area for some time. I eat a lot of Chinese food, and this restaurant has remained my favourite while others have sprung up and gone away. The Kung Pao Chicken is the best in town, the hot & sour soup is great, and the service as always friendly and caring.
