I did talk to the staff, and found out the answer to the whole "parking lot" fiasco. 1, if you can't tell by the shape of the building, it used to be a bowling alley. The parking lot was there before it was a BN, so that is not really their fault. 2, The reason they have to have validated parking is because lots of the people who work in the nearby office buildings like to park in their lot to avoid having to pay their own parking garage fees. Again, not the BN peoples fault. But I mean, I have shopped there a million times, and really, how hard is it to remember to bring in a little piece of paper to get stamped? They will stamp it for as long as you have been there, so its not really a big deal.
Anyway, on to things more important than PARKING..
I found the selection at this branch to be huge, 4 out of the 5 books I wanted were in stock, the 5th they ordered for me and I had it a week later. Their music section has a great back catalog of cds.. I would avoid buying new releases there, they are a bit pricey, but they have great older cds for under 12 bucks! And every time I go in they have more and more DVD's and Blurays.
The staff there really knows their stuff and is have always been friendly and nice.
I think it says a lot that the review a few years ago said they were going to start going to the Borders.. that store closed within 2 years.
Anyway, if you can get over the whole validated parking thing, which is so a non-issue, then this is a great bookstore!
Pros: Great Staff, Great Selection!
Cons: overpriced new release cds and dvds.

If you cannot find a title anywhere else this Bellevue Barnes & Noble will either have it, special order it, or be able to tell you when it will come out, or if it is out of print. The customer service is unfailingly consistent and helpful. They also have an extensive magazine section for nearly every kind of hobby you can imagine.

I've been in a number of times to either buy traveling stones or find a book. Tess is absolutely fabulous and always helps me find the perfect thing. I did have my cards done by Raven who is also amazing and has a wonderful energy - she really was spot-on when doing my cards.

Barnes and Nobles is the place to go for all your book needs. Anything from textbooks to graphic novels, they got it. Look out for their promotional sales where you can get 25-35 percent off on most of their books. They have tables and chairs to sit down and read their books. Its almost like a library and they don't slap your hand for browsing or reading their stuff.

I teach at a preschool, and I buy alot of great stuff here! Everything from Art supplies to Books. I would recommend this even to people who do not Teach. The prices are fairly reasonable. I have never had trouble parking. They do offer free Saturday Art Project/Activities for children.One day my daughter and I spent 2 hours in there!

The Bellevue University Book Store has a great variety of Cougar and Husky gear and the salespeople don't give you a funny look when you prefer one over the other. They are friendly and helpful and have even being a small store they do carry a lot, from books to art supplies. There are things for younger children as well are high school and college age. The really nice thing about this store is with the underground parking you can always find a spot.
