If you want fast courteous service for rebuilt alternators and starters this is the place. Prices have been skyrocketing on parts in recent years especially on alternators and starters. If they don't have your part in stock they can usually rebuild your part in 1 day for less than you can purchase a rebuilt from the giant parts stores. They deal mostly in wholesale and will pick up and deliver in the area.
They also offer bench testing and starter contacts for those asian cars!

Dan Michael is their best salesman. Low key, friendly and personable. It helps to know exactly what kind of car you want and to have your financing taken care of before you go to the dealer. It puts you on an equal footing when making your purchase. I bought the new Dodge Van SXT and they matched a price I got from a discount broker in Minnesota via eBay. There was no high pressure and the dealership is very professional. The downside is to be very careful of not giving out so much personal information about yourself and your finances since you already had that matter taken care of. ALL the dealers will tell you they need this information now because of the Patriot Act but this is pure BS. They all want you to list references so they can sell a car to everyone you name on their financial application form.
Anyway, the Dodge Van was perfect and the dealership was great to deal with.
Don't bother filling out Chrysler's customer satisfaction survey because they want to know how much money you make, your ethnic origin, how many persons in your household, what other cars you own, etc. etc. Don't go there and just toss the survey in File 13.

the muffler was replaced with new generic ones and was ready in about two hours. Dan Fast!

OK...so their work may be good, but I have been nothing but irritated by their service manager. You can tell he's worked in the business for ever and is completely non-committal about anything...ie. trying to get some idea as when your car will be done. I spent a huge amount of money there on my transmission but had to have a rental car for two weeks. Then in follow up its been just as bad. There are lots of places that do transmissions, I'd shop around.

I got a flat tire this week and learned that in some cases, the experience doesn't have to be all bad.
I was fortunate enough to discover the flat once I was already parked in my work parking lot--and didn't do any damage to the rim either. So I gave AAA a call and they were there within 1 hour as promised and my spare was put on in 15 minutes. Then I phoned Discount tires (thanks Judy's Book for all the advice)in Bellevue and they let me know that they could repair my tire and put it back on if we arrived before 6pm. I arrived at 5:58pm and they were happy to help me out. I was expecting to have to leave the car overnight but they quickly made the fix and the charge was $0! I will definitely be taking my business there when I need new tires. All in all this was a pretty pleasant experience as far as flat tires go.

We bought our Volvo at Barrier and had a really good experience. The sales staff did not pressure us at all or try any of the weird gimmicks you read about. For test drives, they just handed us the keys so we could try it out on our own. When it came to actually purchasing the car, it was smooth sailing, taking maybe 40 minutes total to fill out the paperwork. Barrier may not be the cheapest dealership out there, but we got a really good deal and have a lot of confidence with our purchase. Also, any Barrier car comes with free car washes for life. We go there once a week in the summer, so that adds up. They also host a free ownership class to help you get to know your vehicle and ask any questions. Barrier has Volvo, Mercedes Benz, Porsche and Audi so if you are in the market for one those, check them out.

I've been a loyal customer here for years because it's convenient to my work and provides shuttle service, so I've often overlooked the problems I've experienced in the past because of the convenience factor--but no more. They broke a part on my car again and wanted me to pay for it. I've payed for their mistakes in the past but not this time. When I asked to speak to the service manager he never showed up. I give them one star for shuttle service.

I guess these guys feel like they have a good product, so they have nothing to lose. We were treated with pushy sales tactics and disrespect. They did not seem to be interested in building a client relationship at all, just very focused on selling you one specific car, even if you haven't made up your mind what you want. A very disappointing and unpleasant experience.
