This firm has always given me first-rate service at a fair price. In addition they have taken a personal interest in my vehicle and pointed out upcoming maintenance that would need to be done. They have never pushed me into a job that did not need doing. They are always helpful in getting me car in when I need to have the work done. I cannot say enough good things about this fine company.

I have been going to Eschen Automotive since 1986 and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. They are the most concerned people I've ever dealt with. When I had my former Camry, they were extremely helpful in suggesting repairs to do now to avoid problems later. Their work is first rate and worth every dollar it costs. Now that I no longer live in the greater Seattle area, I still try and schedule major repair work for when I'm in the area, they are that good.

I've been going to Eschen for over 7 years and Gary and Alex have always been fair and professional without exception. I don't know what shop the other reviewer, John D, is talking about, but he's confused because Eschen does has never overcharged me and they never do unecessary work. In fact, this family run business typically goes above and beyond to treat their customers right. They'll even give you a ride to work after you drop off your vehicle. Gary has over 35 years of experience with Japanese vehicles and I've never left his shop disappointed.

They gave me an estimate of an hour to do a very small job, and wanted to charge me $100 for something that installers at Best Buy only took 15 minutes to do and only charged me $20 for! If money is no object for you, then go for Eschen Automotive. Otherwise shop around and you'll save $...

Gary Eschen runs a terrific family business on Seattle's Eastside specializing in Japanese cars. He and his staff have helped me over the years with our Accord and Civic. Always good at explaining things. Business ethics are all about communication, fairness, honesty, and above all -- technical competence! They can't always answer the phone; most of the time they do but they're a small shop so they have to actually work on cars. They always call you back when they get to a place in the process where you have to make a decision; they're also very good about discussing intelligently car problems and solutions over the phone and they're good about returning calls. You can drop off your car after hours.

After having a couple of REALLY bad experiences with a Seattle dealership autoshop, I started taking my Japanese vehicles to Gary Eschen and won't go anywhere else now. In fact, I totally understand now why some of his clients will buy ONLY Japanese cars just so they can keep taking their vehicles to Eschen. Gary and his crew are right up front about what needs to happen with your car and what would be nice to do. They show you the parts and explain what's happening and what can or should be done about it (as well as what can't) and I've always felt we had a great working relationship that's built on a desire to have it be a long-term partnership. It works for me and my husband. I've always thought the prices at Eschen are more than fair, especially since I know that they're not tacking on extras that don't need to be there.
