I am used to going to Red Door Spa or Bliss. I went to Christie's just for a manicure and blow out last minute on a Friday. They took me straight away even though the place was packed. I even decided to get my makeup done as i had an event that evening. When i paid the bill i had to ask twice if they had all 3 services? It was so inexpensive - $11 for a manicure? that is dirt cheap. Anyway i found everyone to be very pleasant and price was so good that i will definitely go back.

I had the pleasure of going to this salon for my daughters wedding in October. My daughter Brandi and her bridal party had their hair and make up done and everyone looked beautiful. I had my make up done. What a superb job. Definitely have the airbrushing done! The stylists,the make up artists and the owner, was so professional and nice. I even was able to purchase a pretty pin for my hair. I highly recommend this salon. You will not be sorry.

My first visit was for my daughter's wedding in October. My daughter had been there before. I came in from out of town and was a little hesitant to go somewhere I had never used before. I am so glad I went. Everyone there was very very nice and helpful. Brandi's hair and make-up was superb, as were all the girls in her bridal party. I had my make-up done and I was very impressed. They all did a very professional job. I would highly recommend this salon.

I have used Christie's for years and have always found a great stylist there, with patience. The best strategy may be to stick with the same person. Hayda is trained in Manhattan and I am her loyal customer...but before that the stylist she replaced was great; and, of course, I always keep my appointment and try to tip well. They have "Master" stylists designated, or used to. Sometimes if my stylist is absent, they do not inform me but give me someone else instead, then I get a bad cut.

This salon is a notoriously "Long Island Rich snooty women" salon. They all have the accents, they all look like they just tasted something bitter and most of all they are so snobby you think you're a hobo that smells like urine walking into a Grand Ballroom and no one can stop you. However, when you finally get seated to get your hair done the quality of the work they do is definitely above your everyday no name salon that got their haircutting licenses from a $1 store. They are obviously well trained, probably not as talented as the Oscar Blond, or Elizabeth Arden and other name salons, but they definitely have their edge. The women that probably make the least amount of money (you know them, they sit at their high and mighty appointment/reservation desks) are the rudest people there. The hair colourist and cutters (even master levels) are very nice and genuinely want to help you make the right decisions on color and cuts. they do a good job where it counts the most. The prices are high, but considering the amount of rudeness they dish out daily, they deserve it, don't you think?

The place is appointment only and the clientèle is exactly what you would expect from a place like this. Although it is in our budget, I'm not into this type of atmosphere. Christie's was so highly recommended to me I thought that I was going to be treated like I was used to in Manhattan. Their prices are comparible so I was very disappointed when the hair cut was still very "ordinary". The color was excellent and worth the extra money. It is easy to get parking as it is located in a shopping center. My opinion is that it is not worth the money for hair cuts, but they seem to have excellent colorists. Be prepared to pay upwards of $100 for cut and color.

Christie's is a pretty amazing salon. There is no other salon / spa in Queens that can match everything they have to offer. Not just haircuts and highlights but massages, facials, laser hair removal, and tons more! I've had a few great haircuts & highlights there. The only problem is it costs a FORTUNE! Don't expect to get anything cheap in there! A basic haircut alone will cost you $50. But if you want to pamper yourself in style, this is the place to go!

I have only had my nails and a facial done here. This is a very high end snotty type of hair salon and spa. You must make an appointment for most services and the prices are high. The people are very professional. They even get you coffee. They try to push their cosmetics. The location is great in the Bay Terrace shopping plaza. Overall, good service for expensive price. The people can be rude sometimes. They will even charge you if you cancel a facial appointment.
