Whenever we go into Bar Harbor we always have to stop at cool as a moose to check out the new things they might have. My kids always want to get a tie-dyed t-shirt from there or their vacation isn't complete! They have some nice clothes and shoes. I have bought sandels for the kids there too. It is a neat little shop on Main St that always seems to draw it's fair share of customers due to unique items they have. So if you are ever in down town Bar Harbor check them out you won't be sorry you did!

We wanted to go on the Whale watch trip but was cancelled due to high winds so went on the Nature Cruise.
It was really nice and great price. We got to see Harbor seals, bald eagles and pretty coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Guides on boat tell us all about what we are seeing.

We went to this pizza place when we visited Acadia National park in Maine. The place is small and very inviting. You place your order at the counter and they will bring the pizza to your table when ready. The prices were very reasonable. We ordered one XL veggie pizza and it served 4 adults. The cost was only about $16 dollars and our dinner was done. They have a enormous variety of toppings and pizza. The pizza tasted delicious and they were very customer friendly as they made 1/2 the pizza with one set of toppings and the other half had a different set of toppings. The place was neat and well kept. Very fast service and highly recommend a visit there if you are in Bar Harbor.

Gracious. Comfortable. The Black Friar Inn is a uniquely restored Victorian home surrounded by a perennial flower garden. Mantels, bookcases, windows, and finely crafted woodwork from turn- of-the-century "cottages" on Mount Desert Island shape every part of the Inn. Seven romantic guest rooms are tastefully furnished with period antiques and beautifully decorated. Fine linens dress your queen or king-size bed, soft carpets pamper your feet, and each room has a private bath.

Bar Harbor Hemporium carries a line of clothing and accessories made from hemp, as the name suggests. They also carry a nice selection of sterling jewelry and many interesting gifts items. The staff is extremely friendly and it is one of many stores in Bar Harbor that you can bring your canine family members into. They even have treats for them. They also have a large assortment of beads to make your own necklaces and bracelets.

This gracious home is now an inn, and preserves all the elegance one would expect. Well-appointed rooms, an expansive front lawn and lovely terrace set the stage for a visit to Bar Harbor like none other.
Overlooking Frenchman Bay from the estate and terrace, one can view the arrival and departure of the "Cat" ferry to Nova Scotia, lobster fishermen at work, passing sailboats, and the majestic Bar and Porcupine Islands less than one mile in the distance.
