The Tusk Lounge (upstairs from the Brass Elephant) is a great way to experience the Brass Elephant without paying their prices. It has the full Elephant menu available (with entrees $25 plus), as well as a selection of lower priced entrees that are not available downstairs. I highly recommend the seafood risotto. The atmosphere is very unique, and the setting is beautiful.

This is one of the BEST Seafood and Pasta restaurants in town! The seafood is always fresh, the portions are large and the service is friendly and fast. To blame a restaurant for "worms" in your wine is outrageous! I would imagine you would have seen "worms" in the glass before the waitstaff poured your wine. Wine is a natural product. Grapes grow in the dirt and there are many ways that nature can effect the wine. The restaurant staff has no way of "placing" "worms" in your wine before serving it. This is a fine establishment with wonderful management. It is a shame that something that was out of their control is being pushed upon them!

I had a group of 19 friends to go to dinner with and to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra on 11/6/08. I really needed to find a great restaurant and Luna Del Sea was it. I looked at many menus, but when I talked to Christenia, the Director of Marketing for Luna Del Sea, I knew that I was in the right hands. She was professional, confident, funny and extremely personable.
As soon as we got out of our limo, their staff was there with a smile to greet us. They graciously showed us the room. As soon as we walked in, we were in awe. The lighting and room colors were so beautiful. The table was set for a king. As soon as we were seated, the staff was right there to get our drink order and tell us the specials, which they did several times to different sections of the tables so everyone could hear. The drinks and appetizers were prompt, hot and DELICIOUS!! On a personal note, not many places still serve Oysters Rockefeller, and if they do, it's not that great, yours were superb! My dinner of Oysters stuffed with crab imperial was just amazing!! There were lumps of crab and the imperial sauce just melted in your mouth along with the tender oyster. We must have had 5 people waiting on us. Anything we needed, we got promptly. After I ate, I went around the room to say hi to everyone, see what they ordered and how they liked the food; ALL 19 PEOPLE (plus myself) WERE VERY PLEASED. Another thing most restaurants don't serve is Bananas Foster prepared tableside. I didn't think we had enough time, but the staff was so efficient, they made it, we all loved it and we were able to make our show.
This restaurant did an OUTSTANDING job on everything: beautiful atmosphere, friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, courteous and professional staff, food to die for, REASONABLE prices for this quality food. I would and will recommend your restaurant to all of my business and personal associates.
Kim Klein & Ron Brooks, Owners of Lasting Impressions Limousine Service
Pros: Everything. If you want incredible food, service and atmosphere, this is the place
Cons: It was warm when we arrived, but as soon as we asked for the AC to be turned on, they did it. Who would have thought in November, you would need the air conditioning.

Fleming's, located at 720 Aliceanna St, is very hard to locate for someone not from the area. It is set back behind Roy's on the Eastern side of the round about in Harbor East in downtown Baltimore. My wife and I drove around the area for five minutes trying to find this place. However, upon arrival, the valets were excellent and expeditiously serviced our vehicle and guided us to the door.
After we were escorted to Fleming's, we were cordially greeted at the entrance by the maitre'd. She informed us that we would have to wait at the door until somebody would come to seat us. My wife and I thought this was odd. After a few minutes and our patience wearing thin, the maitre'd seated us herself. The explanation was eventually provided to us, but the maitre'd was waiting on the ok to seat us from the private security team of one of the guests. I am still not sure who the VIP was, but I was told he was royalty from abroad.
Despite the rough opening, Fleming's met all of our expectations. The wine list is superb. Dae Chang, the wine manager, is phenomenal and quite personable. After having a great conversation about the Zuccardi Malbec, Dae took a picture of my wife and I and then framed it and delivered it with our dessert.
Our host, Mike Mizrai, was great! He was well versed on the menu and made our evening out that much more special. His prompt and courteous service was not overlooked. He ensured that our wine glass was always topped and that our food was properly prepared. It was just the service you should expect when you go out for dinner.
The food was superb. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. My wife and I are very particular about the preparation of our meat and we both ordered our meat cooked in between the normal preparation standards. The kitchen was able to answer our request! My steak was prepared Medium rare plus and my wife's medium plus!
For dessert we tried their Molten Chocolate Lava Cake. It was the absolute best that my wife and I have had. They serve the standard fare with two scoops of vanilla ice cream on a chocolate chip wafer. The cake itself is more molten than cake and when opened up pours out and covers your dessert plate. The pistachios that top the confectionated sugar on top of the cake are lost in the river of chocolate and make for an excellent crunchy surprise as you devour this decedent dessert.
This restaurant is an absolute must!
Pros: Excellent Food, Excellent Service
Cons: Hidden in Harbor East

Cafe Hon (pronounced hun) is an eclectic diner/coffee shop in the heart of Hamden. In addition to the colorful decoration and kitschy surroundings, the food is very good; I especially recommend the Mexican omlette. Prices are reasonable, but not extremely cheap. Overall, it's a great place for Sunday brunch or a hearty dinner.

Port Discovery - The Children's Museum is not just for children. It is a great place for children, adults and even teens. When it first opened I went on a date with my high school girlfriend and had an amazing time. It was fun reliving a peice of childhood. Adults can get something out of Port Discovery - The Children's Museum as well. While it is not cheap, I don't believe its any more expensive than any other museum in Baltimore. I highly reccomend a visit for children and adults alike!

If you love Pizza (REAL PIZZA) not the commercial grade Domino's crap that is mostly sold in the DC/Baltimore area then the place to go is Gil's pizza. It's a tiny shop right off Belair Road in Baltimore. You will want to get carry out b/c there is no place to sit and eat it. The pizza is made right in front of you, the dough thrown in the air and all. It's not like the employees are trying to put on a show for you that's just the way they do it. You would never know it from the outside but this little shop is the perfect place for your average, no-nonsense, NY style pizza.
