Soccer doesn't have the popularity in America that it has in other countries around the world. The sad part about that in Baltimore is that we had the MISL soccer champions two years in a row (2003 and 2004 seasons) and we STILL didn't hear much about them.
The season runs for a good part of the year and the team plays at First Mariner Arena (formerly the Baltimore Civic Center). The most expensive tickets are $20 a seat and those are right on the sidelines of the field.
It's a non-stop keep-running high-energy kind of sport and Baltimore really has an amazing team.
If you are looking for something fun to do one evening go to a game! I promise you that you will have a good time. At the end of the evening you can even go out on to the field and get autographs from the players.

Having just finished a lot of major renovations, the Science Center in Baltimore is now open with a lot of new exhibits and things to see with some of the same things we all love about it.
In addition to more than three floors of science based exhibits (which are fun in addition to educational), they also have an IMAX theater (with shows that change from time to time) and a planetarium with shows to teach kids and others about constellations and stars.
There is limited parking near the Science Center and the price can be a little high (close to $20 for an adult) but it is a really neat thing to spend some time checking out.

More
The Baltimore Opera Company has long since shaken the stodgy reputation that opera once had. With a combination of lavish productions and funny marketing that appeals to younger generations (younger being a relative term in regards to opera: they are trying to attract people in the 30-something age range), along with program notes and projected surtitles to make the productions appealing and accessible, you can't NOT have a good time at the opera these days.
If you haven't ever attended the opera, you should think of going. Spend some time on their website to see what's coming up (they only do a handful of productions each season; the 05-06 season includes both La Traviata and La Boheme, two of the best-known operas of all time, with good reason) to find something that might appeal. If you have the time, look into volunteer opportunites (ushers get to see the shows for free).
The Baltimore Opera performs at the Lyric. Parking can sometimes be a problem, especially if you go on a night when there is also a show at the Meyerhoff. But the building is easily accessible by Light Rail, so consider parking at a Light Rail station and taking it in.

Cylburn Arboretum is right off I-83 but feels miles removed from the city hustle and bustle. It is well-maintained and centers around the gorgeous Cylburn Mansion, which is frequently open for tours. Go during nice weather so you can enjoy walking the grounds. It is a wonderful day trip with kids.

Red Star is a really attractive bar located in Fells Point. The major bonus is that unlike most places in Fells, they have their own parking lot. They have a ton of specialty drinks, the bartenders are really good, and it has a good atmosphere. The food is really good too, although I admit we've only ever gotten appetizers (the crab dip and the hummus are really good) and dessert (the pecan pie is OUTSTANDING).

Bo Brooks is a great restaurant with local flavor. Crabs are served on brown paper and the wait staff are attentive, courteous, and friendly. Pricey but worth it for a special occasion and the location is wonderful. It's right on the water, and there is outdoor seating available in good weather.

Don't let the dingy lighting and out dated decor discourage you. This restaurant, located in the Hamilton area, offers a great selection for breakfast and lunch. I have personally tried the Western omelet, with cheese on request. This was served with potatoes and toast, with real butter. It was an excellent breakfast. My companion was also pleased with the cream chipped beef which also came with fried potatoes. The coffee, while it is no Starbucks, is still hot and fresh and the service is personal and usually friendly. What you will find the most pleasing about this place is the check- the bill matches the decor- very old fashioned, which when it comes to prices is a very good thing.

I love buffets and have had trouble finding some in Baltimore. The Super China Buffet that I located via google turned out to be quite good. There was a huge selection of veggie items that my boyfriend could eat, along with a nice selection of chicken, beef and seafood eats. They also had a few random foods that one finds at a buffet such as pizza, pudding and ice cream. The price was right although I don't think I ate about 10 dollars of food. If you come during the weekday the price is a bit cheaper. I found the quality of food to be quite good for a buffet and would definitly go back again when in the mood for chinese food. Good selection, good quality, good price!

I take my wifes taxes ther every year and they are returned quickly. The service cost around seventy five dollars which is very reasonable. The individual who did the taxes was helpful and easy to ask questions concerning the what types of things to file and how much each costs. I would recommend going here.
