The Meyerhoff Symphony Hall is a beautiful looking hall with somewhat less than beautiful acoustics. Sound engineers have been tinkering with it ever since it was built though I think now they have it about as good as it's going to get. They have removed features and added others in an effort to get the sound as perfect as possible from all points in the hall but there are still some sections where you can hear some parts of the orchestra better than others.
Still, it's better than many and looks count for something, too. They do a variety of programs so there's something for everyone. The lobby is spacious and welcoming and you can get scrumptious desserts, snacks and drinks. There's also a little gift shop with beautiful arty things plus a good selection of CDs.

Baltimore is one of the few cities in the country that has a full-time orchestra. The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra performs many different kinds of shows with a variety of music to entertain any audience.
In addition to being home of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall often has concerts (such as Olivia Newton-John, Chicago, the Vienna Boys Choir to name a few) and other shows (such as a touring music from "Lord Of The Rings" show that included pictures and choir in addition to music).
This is a great place to check out a show.
