Haven't been to B'more for a while, but I used to love to go to Simons. I heard that they closed and changed ownership, but am not sure. Very small place, with only a handful of tables. Not in the best neighborhood, although a block or two away it's quite safe. They had the best caesar salad dressing I've ever had. Ever! Great place to get to know your date!

When I lived in Bmore these were two of my favorite places to go on a date. Simons - Little tables mean you get to be close to your co-diner. Sometimes the music gets loud, esp. after the bar crowd arrives. Great menu, everything is fresh and yummy. They used to have Magic Hat #9 (Apricot Wheat brew) on draft... a romance elixir! You'll want to make a reservation b/c the place is tiny and fills up fast. Gecko's - 2318 Fleet St, phone (410) 732-1961 Get a table upstairs away from the bar area b/c it gets smoky and loud. GREAT food, again yummy and fresh, with wonderful variations of margaritas. The staff is super friendly and give good service, even when the place gets busy. Both are moderately priced. and located near Patterson Park. Have fun!
