Dramatic dining in Baltimore, can you believe it? The restaurant has great atmosphere and is very warm and inviting. The service has sometimes been spotty, but most times it is spot-on. Tasty breadsticks are on the table, and they bring you a nice 'amuse bouche.' Everything we've tried there has been wonderful. Prices are average to a little high.

Sascha's is a quaint little restaurant nestled in the heart of Mt. Vernon. You can find it by its signature burgundy exterior paint and decorative fruit adorning the doorway (usually some pineapples, at least). The atmosphere is a little too chic for my taste (i.e. You're paying for the atmosphere, perhaps more so than for the food). The wait staff was friendly. Parking is available, but limited to street and metered. I would suggest going for lunch only if you have an adventurous palate and someone else is buying!

Located on Charles Street in Mount Vernon, Sascha’s is one of my favorite lunch spots and favorite caterers for business lunches at the office. I love the fresh grilled sandwiches and elegant-casual atmosphere for lunch onsite, and everyone loves showing up for a business lunch and finding Sascha’s Silver Sacs—bagged lunches way better than anything you took to school. The Silver Sacs include a sandwich or salad, fruit, beverage, gourmet chips, and a fresh flower. I think it’s the flower that does it for me, but the sandwiches are pretty darn good too—their chicken salad is just wonderful, with big chunks of chicken, walnuts, and grapes in a tarragon mayonnaise. I’ve tried to duplicate it at home, but it’s never as good.
