My boyfriend took me and our parents to Bicycle for my birthday and it was the biggest disappointment ever. We are no strangers to fine dining and with the price tags those plates had, I expected much more out of the service. Our server was stale and pushy. After a bottle of wine she kept pushing for another and when our mothers decided on Chardonnay, I said I dont like it and didn't want any. The waitress kept insisting it was wonderful and I would love it which, of course, I didn't because I DONT LIKE CHARDONNAY! After that, she kept pushing me to get a glass of something....repeatedly. It was about 85 degrees in the small back dining area, even though it was November which only added to the unpleasentness. The spotlights were shining on me and after 15 minutes of no server, my father got up and dimmed them only to be reprimanded by our server upon her return (finally!)...which really bothered me.
The food all sounded wonderful...definitely unique. The presenation was beautiful...very nice to look at. The quality of the food was also good but the general consensus was that the dishes were too complicated...too many flavors that didn't compliment each other well. Aside from sweating profusely from the heat, the atmosphere was nice, though. Visually, the experience is very pleasing. I can not say, though, that the value was there. $450, 6 people, no one was very impressed. Never a good sign.
Pros: Delightful atmosphere, good wine selection, very nice presentation
Cons: our particular server, food/experience was not worth the money

My husband and I dine out often and were highly impressed with this resturant. I dined here previously (about a year or so ago) with business associates and enjoyed the food. This time I was even more pleased. The service was excellent, the presentation of the food was superb, and as before the food was outstanding. This restaurant is a bit inappropiate for children, but for a intimate evening, a highly recommend it.

What happened to our favorite restaurant???!!! We went this past Saturday and were deeply disappointed. The food was horrible, the presentation - very sloppy and our waitress was just dry and unpleasant. We were so upset that our long time favorite restaurant turned into the worst experience. I wonder if the old owners that made this restaurant famous for its quality, taste and overall great experience know that the new owners turned this wonderful place into middling dinner.

Took a date here last fall. The restaurant is built into a traditional Federal Hill type townhouse. The dining area was relatively small but very open. It had a very modern feel to it. A lot of glass and chrome. The kitchen was viewable to all. Service was ok. Good, but nothing spectacular. The menu is quite unique compared to what you would see at most restaurants in the area. My date and I split the fresh tuna, which was very good. First time I ever tried raw fresh. I had the lamb, which was roasted. It was good, but again nothing spectacular. Desert was excellent. Overall the best part of the meal was the ambience. Quiet & cozy. Including appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 desert and a bottle a wine, it came out to around $150 including tax and tip.

My wife and I love this place. You will spend some coin in here - our bills for 2 for drinks, appetizers and dinner run in the $150 range. The food and presentation is excellent and the atmosphere is relaxed. We try to get here as often as possible.
Pros: Food, service, presentation and atmosphere
Cons: A little expensive to allow us to dine here regularly

The food is perfect, every thing couldn't be better. They are always busy and you usually need a reservation to enjoy the excellent food. Food comes served like a work of art, something I'm not used to since my favorite restaurant is Taco Bell. Servings are large, you might be taking some home for later. Parking is a RPITA, but they do offer valet parking. Dinner for one, appetizers, desert, drinks and tip cost me $80.
If you find yourself having to wait for a table go across the street at the bar I work at for cheap drinks, ask for FATRAY. I would love to know you read this. It's were the servers go at closing.
Pros: Food always great, excellent service, perfect place for the first date.
Cons: Price & Parking

My boyfriend saw the Bicycle Bistro as we were driving by and decided he wanted to try it. They have a pretty interesting menu here. The food is delicious! The mongolian barbeque was so good that we both were fighting over the same dish. Not that the pork was bad, just that the mongolian was so delicious. This restaurant is extremely expensive, so beware when you visit. I think it is definitely worth a visit every now and again though, because the food is wonderful and the ambiance is very nice as well.
