I had a group of 19 friends to go to dinner with and to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra on 11/6/08. I really needed to find a great restaurant and Luna Del Sea was it. I looked at many menus, but when I talked to Christenia, the Director of Marketing for Luna Del Sea, I knew that I was in the right hands. She was professional, confident, funny and extremely personable. As soon as we got out of our limo, their staff was there with a smile to greet us. They graciously showed us the room. As soon as we walked in, we were in awe. The lighting and room colors were so beautiful. The table was set for a king. As soon as we were seated, the staff was right there to get our drink order and tell us the specials, which they did several times to different sections of the tables so everyone could hear. The drinks and appetizers were prompt, hot and DELICIOUS!! On a personal note, not many places still serve Oysters Rockefeller, and if they do, it's not that great, yours were superb! My dinner of Oysters stuffed with crab imperial was just amazing!! There were lumps of crab and the imperial sauce just melted in your mouth along with the tender oyster. We must have had 5 people waiting on us. Anything we needed, we got promptly. After I ate, I went around the room to say hi to everyone, see what they ordered and how they liked the food; ALL 19 PEOPLE (plus myself) WERE VERY PLEASED. Another thing most restaurants don't serve is Bananas Foster prepared tableside. I didn't think we had enough time, but the staff was so efficient, they made it, we all loved it and we were able to make our show. This restaurant did an OUTSTANDING job on everything: beautiful atmosphere, friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, courteous and professional staff, food to die for, REASONABLE prices for this quality food. Pass on the side salad - it wasn't fresh and it was a bit overpriced for the size but the rest of the meal was delicious! Oh and I wouldn't go if you are in a rush - the service was a bit slow but good and attentive. It felt as if each plate was made to order. Pros: Fresh fish made to order Cons: Slow service

Tuesday was our Anniversary so we wanted to go someplace special. We have now discovered a new favorite for Baltimore. The menu took a while to get through with all of the selections but we were ably assisted but not hurried by Dieter, our server. A glass of house wine and some fresh, hot bread and Olive Oil for dipping started us off on a delightful meal. We had Oysters Rockefeller and Luna Seafood Bisque followed by a Seafood Trio and a Filet Mignon + Crabcake. Very delicious, perfectly cooked, and served at a nice pace. Our dessert, which we usually pass on, was too tempting. Bannanas Foster prepared at tableside by Antonio, the General Manager. Portions were very generous so we will be enjoying the meal again today. Except for the dessert - what a show and what a great way to eat fruit! Go visit and see for yourself. Ask for Antonio and he will take good care of you.

The experience was a nice surprise. My waitress recommended the cream of broccoli soup that I ordered with warm bread and herbed olive oil. I vacillated between a glass of house wine and San Pellegrino, and since I was already tired I ordered the San Pellegrino. The soup was by far one of the best cream soups I?ve had. It is not for the faint-hearted. The cream is heavy cream simmered with an elegant white wine, and tastes almost as good as if it had come from an old-fashioned creamery. As I watched the rain pour down outside amidst claps of thunder, my tummy felt warm and cozy. The only thing missing was a fire. I have traveled to Baltimore for trade shows and also subsquent follow up business trips and you can bet this little gem is going to be on my list of stops every time I am in the area. There are good restaruants and there are fine dinning restaruants and this is far better than some of the area's 5 star restaurants. I would recomend this eatery over any of the local competition hands down. I have traveled to many US Cities trying to find anything that will compare to the quality of thier Crab Cakes and have been sorely dissapointed each and every time.. Gentlemen my hat is off to you and I salute the best crab cake I have ever had and the quality remains the same on each and every return visit... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IF YOU ARE A SEA FOOD LOVER, ESPECIALLY CRAB CAKE LOVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
