I have used Tech Lab since about 1998 and will continue to do so. I have had both standard and specialty work done by them. I had a very old, torn and yellowed enlargement restored by them, and the results were truly fantastic. They have happily re-printed photos that came out with an "off-color". I have had custom sizes enlarged, and I have had slides printed as enlargements. They have always worked with me to give great results.

The Ritz in my neighborhood closing was a blessing in disguise! I found Techlab! Who knew you could still get such awesome service? Strongest recommendations possible!

The blond manager is disgustingly discriminating to students, wouldn't give me my discount on my film even though i have received it before, told me there was never a discount on scans when it's clearly stated the discount applies to all orders for students. not only that i saw her condescending to other employees in front of customers. this place makes me sick. plus why should it take three days to process only medium format color film?

In my opinion, no matter where you take your precious family photos, you are taking a risk. However, Techlab is a risk worth taking. I trust them with my personal photos as well as with my children's photos. We have been there several times and have never had a bad experience. We can, at times, be very demanding when it comes to our photos and we have never heard a complaint from anyone at Techlab regarding any request we have made. We have had film developed, disposable cameras developed, prints made from digital images, bought frames and more. We have used them in person and we have placed orders through their website. The staff has always been friendly and our orders are always on time and correct.
I understand that some people have bad experiences, but they are usually just isolated experiences. Since I have used the services provied by Techlab for over a year, I believe that they have shown my family and I how they choose to run their business. As for these negative reviews listed here, I will continue to use Techlab.

I just had a horrible experience at techlab. I had ordered some WALLET size
pictures and was given the photos printed on 4X6 paper. First they were not ready when they were supposed to be, my 2nd trip there I was foolish not to check the
photos until I got home. So the following day I called and asked why the photos were not cut to wallet size as I ordered. I was told by the EMPLOYEE that they
would cut them down to size "no problem". So I made my 3rd trip down and was told that they charge $40 dollars to cut down the pics (my pics were $10)..how ridiculous. I asked to speak to the manager and spoke to the owner who proceeded to tell me that I should not complain bc I got a DEAL on the photos(less expensive when you order online) . When I told him that it was not written anywhere on the website that the photos will not be wallet size and that it is an additonal fee to have them cut down or that his employee did not mention a fee when I called "The owner" shrugged his shoulders and said I should have known that bc its standard policy. I was so taken aback by this establishment which is claiming to be a professional photo lab when it is in fact a mediocre
lab with unethical business practices. Don't ever go here !!

I made the mistake of prepaying for work at Techlab, which was not processed to any of the specifications I had made. They REFUSED to refund my money AND kept the work!!!!! They've ignored a complaint through the BBB and have no intentions of making things right with their customers. Do NOT take the financial risk of having your work processed here! They are just a mediocre photo lab masking as a professional lab, but they clearly do not do professional work AND they don't care if their customers get what they ordered. Don't trust them with your work or your money, as they have no policies to ensure customer satisfaction or refunds! (Can you believe they're still in business?!)

Techlab Photo Imaging has two locations in Maryland: one in Belvedere Square shopping center in Baltimore and the other in Dobbin Square in Columbia.
They process photos as well as outsource work such as DVD creation, VHS duplication and 8mm home video transfer to another local company for their customers.
With there being such a focus on digital photography now, it's nice to know there is still a place willing to help out with a lot of the "outdated" items.
