Wild Yam is a very unique boutique that sells a variety of homemade pottery--great if you need to give someone a nice gift. I think they tend to be a little bit expensive for my tastes, but in general their pieces are very nice...and probably worth the money if you're a pottery-o-phile. At the very least a nice place to stop by while browsing the wares of Hampden.

Wild Yam Pottery is a unique pottery store in downtown Hampden at the end of West 36th St. In addition to the artwork available for purchase, Wild Yam also offers pottery tutorials for the budding pottery thrower. Prices here are a bit steep but the quality of the pieces is great.

Wild Yam Pottery, located on W. 36th in Hampden, has an impressive collection of local artists' work. While pottery isn't really my art of choice, I found myself wanting to purchase most of what I saw. Prices are a bit expensive, but then again, you're getting a usable work of art. Still, it's a great place to browse and shop for one-of-a-kind gifts.
