Of all the newscasts in Baltimore, this is the worst. The anchors--especially Denise Koch--are unbearably annoying. Worst of all, they, more than any other newscast in the City, perpetuate the "Chicken Little" mentality. Anytime there is a suggestion of something bad on the horizon, they run around and make it out to be like the end is near. Especially during snow season...they spend days building up to some massive snowstorm that never happens (and as a result, cause ENORMOUS lines at the grocery store--thanks a lot!). I just wish they'd calm down instead of instituting city-wide panic with their dire predictions, most of which never pan out anyway.

Witness Theater is a completely student-driven company of actors, writers, directors, and producers at Johns Hopkins. Everything that is performed either at the Arellano Theater or the Mattin Blackbox Theater is written by a student. This makes for a mixed bag of performances, but I've been satisfied with almost every show I've seen. Often, they'll have one-acts in the early fall to showcase new writing talent. Tickets are usually really inexpensive.

Some people believe that the Westminster Hall and Burying Ground are haunted. People have claimed that they've heard strange footsteps, felt a drop of tempature, and have seen ghostly figures. If this place is haunted, it really isn't suprising because it is the burying ground of Edgar Allan Poe, soldires and generals from the War of 1812 and the Revolutionary War. Haunted or not, it's still a nice place to visit.

I love to drive by this at night when it is lit up. The tower is 178 feet and the entire thing is set on a hill 100 feet above sea level,so you get a spectacular view of Baltimore when you climb it. It was the first monument built to honor George Washington our founding father in the country. The base holds a small museum with items from the city's past

The US Lacrosse Hall of Fame is a very unique museum. Located on the Johns Hopkins Campus, it is direcly next to historic Homewood field. It shows many of the more memorable moments of Lacrosse history like its progression from being a sport created by the American Indians to its inception as a national sport. The Hall of Fame is a welcome site for fans and amateurs alike!

There is no greater attraction in Baltimore than the Top of The World, yet it is overlooked by so many. Right smack in the middle of downtown, minutes from all the other attractions, you will find the World Trade Center Baltimore, and read the signs, you'll find admission for Top of the World. Into the elevator you go to be taken to the top floor of this high rise, where you will find windows all around to let you take in the sights of Baltimore from the raven's eye view (pardon the pun!) It's pretty breathtaking to be up there, away from the hustle and bustle of the city and looking out over the harbor. Definitely worth a stop on your next trip into Baltimore!

Sound Garden looks like a run down store on the corner in Fells Point, but it has so much to offer. Not only can you find used CDs at great prices, but they have a great deal of hard to find CDs that other used stores might not even have. I've also had a good experience with the employees. There have been times when I was having a hard time finding what I was looking for and they have been more than happy to help me find it.

The zoo is just a few minutes from the Inner Harbor, and has a lot to offer the young and old. The one issue I find is that the zoo is very hilly and it can be hard to walk up and down it all day. They restarted the tram which helps getting around the zoo much easier. The new poar bear exhibit is exciting and amazing to visit. I really like the penguin exhibit, especially when it's feeding time. The trainers are very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend visiting this zoo!
