When I walked into the museum I thought the staues were real people. For such a small space this mseum has really gotten the spark to retell history no matter when the size of the museum is. The museum was overwhealming with history and I left feeling as if I was on the slaveships with them or sitting next to Rosa Parks. This is a great place for a family weekend outing or to learn some history!
Pros: feel of time, lifelike statues
Cons: small space

Sound Garden looks like a run down store on the corner in Fells Point, but it has so much to offer. Not only can you find used CDs at great prices, but they have a great deal of hard to find CDs that other used stores might not even have. I've also had a good experience with the employees. There have been times when I was having a hard time finding what I was looking for and they have been more than happy to help me find it.

Painting pottery is a great activity for all ages. I took my thirteen year old sister as well as my three and four year old neices, and everyone had a great time. There is a wide selection of different sized and shaped pottery to choose from, as well as many shades of paint and different paint brushes. The staff was very helpful, and helped the children with their paint.

The Charles is a wonderful place to see a film. We do "event" screenings
for The Sun's Reader Rewards program there and the staff is wonderful!
Accomodating and friendly, they go out of their way to make our events
effortless.
Comfortable seating in the lobby, several microphones (and the batteries
are ALWAYS fresh), and a true love of the art of film that shows.
The sound system and screens are state of the art yet The Charles
manages to maintain the feel of an old film house.
Great place to see the latest release or a classic!
Bravo!

I've taken my son to 4 games in the last 2 years and the Raven's fan fest. We've had seats in row 12 behind the Raven's bench and it's just awesome because you're so close to the players. Seats in the upper section are OK but people go there to get drunk and party and not so much for the game. Make sure your seats are not near the speakers or you will be deaf by the time the game is done. The food is typical ballpark fare and is expensive, but you can get the same hot dog and soda outside for 1/3 of the price. All the merchandise is expensive but they do have stuff you don't find at stores elsewhere. The fan fest was great. You could on the field and participate in the activities although the lines were super long. We got a tour of the locker room, saw new players introduced and got autos from players. They auto sessions were really screwed up but it was still fun and they let you park for free in the lots. If you don't want to sit in traffic take the light rail.

Having a local art gallery to browse (outside of bigger galaries like the Walters or the BMA) is really nice...they have a different type of selection and a different variety of artists.
The Art Gallery of Fells Point displays and sells a collection of pieces from a variety of local artists (from both Maryland and the surrounding area) and their selection not only reflects this area but a broader range of paintings/art pieces as well.
They have shows every month on the first Sunday--I highly recommend checking them out if you are in to art and looking for something local and interesting to check out.
