I've been a member of the Sacred Heart Shrine for several years now. It is by far the best church that I found in Baltimore--a great community, with lots of young adults and young families, as well as older individuals to lend the voice of experience. Great homilies and fantastic music have kept me coming back for years. I also enjoy participating in the Young Adult ministry group--it's a great way to meet people, and we get to help out our community and learn more about our faith at the same time.

The Shrine of the Sacred Heart is a young parish in the Baltimore suburbs. The church is very ornate with a lot of wood detailing. I've visited for Mass on several occasions and have found that parking can often be an issue. If you're in the lot next to the church, you will be parked in, so there's no need to rush out the door at the end of Mass.

I absolutely love the Shrine of the Sacred Heart, which is tucked away in the community of Mt. Washington, MD. The church itself is very old, very wooden, and on the small side. The priest, deacon, and parishioners are all very friendly. Music is almost always beautiful, and the cantors are quite talented. They also have a rather active young adult faith group for the surrounding community. If I still lived in Baltimore, this would be my parish. I think my favorite part of this parish is that people still dress up for Mass here; although suit and tie aren't required, I love seeing parents take the time to dress their children up a little before church on Sunday.
