Fat Elvis has a little bit of everything eclectic. It's your standard vintage clothing-grandma's attic store with two floors full of goodies, but it's in Hampden, which makes it all the better. It's great for browsing on a lazy Saturday afternoon after a trip to Common Ground. One downside is that I've noticed that they are closed on what would seemingly be a busy day. If in doubt, call ahead.

Fire and Ice is one of those hidden treats you find tucked away inside the local mall. I'm always lured in by the beautiful fossils and priceless antiques they showcase in their window displays, but once inside you will quickly see that they carry a huge selection of jewelry. Unlike most other stores, I like the look and the feel of the products they carry - nothing looks cheap, or out of place. I'm excited to see that they now have an online store, which makes shopping a whole lot easier! If you get a chance, you should check them out - and be sure to take a good look at those fossils!!

This place really surprised me. I don't normally go for someplace that could be described as a "boutique," but I really loved this place. They have all sorts of old-timey soaps, perfumes, candles, knick-knacks, tin signs, and even tableware and linens. The theme seems to be Victoriana-1930s, but they also have some items that are of the nuclear age.
Since this shop is in a Hampden rowhome, they have two (or three?) floors, each with separate rooms which are decorated with items that are for sale.
The ONLY downside to this shop are the prices, which I found a tad exorbitant. However, this is a great place to browse, and get ideas. The soaps, candles, small knick-knacks, and funky greeting cards are basically the only items I found to be cost-appropriate.
This is a great place to find a really unique gift for a birthday, anniversary, Mothers' Day, etc.

Heirloom Jewels is a hidden gem of a jewelry store (no pun intended!) It's located in the Village of Cross Keys, so their business pretty much caters to those who are in-the-know. Their selection is fantastic, and the sales associates are very friendly and helpful. If you're looking for high quality estate jewelry, give this store a chance.

The Antique Man takes up several storefronts along Fleet Street in Fells Point. The store seems to sell everything under the sun, including a notable collection of giant statues. No, we are not talking David. Think more along the lines of Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, or a life size replica of a soldier who has perhaps recently returned from the war in Iraq. (Wouldn't you want someone like this guarding the entrance to your cubicle?) So who knows if you will find anything here that you would actually want to bring into you home? But on the other hand, why not stop by anyhow. It is like an amusement park in a way. Even the drive by view from Fleet Street is often entertaining,

In the tradition of many antiques stores, this particular one has a variety of dealers set up in a decent space to sell the "finds" they have. That's part of what makes this antique store great: there are approximately 15 different dealers set up here that offer a variety of antiques for the browser to check out and buy.
I also like the fact that they are open seven days a week: when you're in the mood to browse a store like this it stinks to see a "closed" sign on the door.
The owners are very friendly and the store is located in a great area (Fells Point).

It was pretty hard to look through the clothes in this store because it was very dark inside and the clothes were packed onto several long racks in a manner that made it hard to see what was there and what the sizes were. I was able to find a few good things, though. The store did have a good selection of old hats in the back. It's an okay place to go to look for something different, but you need to be prepared with a lot of patience and time.

Hampden Junque is exactly what its name sounds like. It's a nice amalgam of an antique store and an indoor flea market. Some of their stock is really cool vintages pieces, and some of it is just.. well, junk. But as the old adage goes, one person's trash is another person's treasure. I've yet to find anything in this store for myself, but it's always worth a look.

The Turnover Shop has a little bit of everything. It's a consignment-style shop, so when you purchase something, you're actually buying from an individual rather than a company. They've got a wide variety of items, and the merchandise rotates on a regular basis. The business is family-owned, and the staff is always extremely friendly and very helpful.
