Port Discovery - The Children's Museum is not just for children. It is a great place for children, adults and even teens. When it first opened I went on a date with my high school girlfriend and had an amazing time. It was fun reliving a peice of childhood. Adults can get something out of Port Discovery - The Children's Museum as well. While it is not cheap, I don't believe its any more expensive than any other museum in Baltimore. I highly reccomend a visit for children and adults alike!

We just went with our 6, 3 and 1.5 year olds and had a great time. They had a hands on dinosaur exhibit, an exhibit with local wildlife (crabs, etc.) including some live crabs and fish, and the kids room on the 3rd floor is worth the trip alone. It's got something for everyone (it says 6 and under on the door) and the parents can relax a bit while the kids play. They even have a baby area with a comfy chair for the parents with parenting magazines and a nursing chair with a boppy for parents. My only complaint was that it was not obvious to find the upstairs exhibits. Oh, and the gift shop doesn't have much MSC themed items, mostly space and dinosaur themed toys that you can probably get other places.

Patterson Park just surprised me. Patterson Park started to bloom, and the weekend activities started happening, this park really came to life. The Pagoda has one of the best panoramic views of the area you'll find. You can see all the way to Fort McHenry. And the grounds of the park are really well shaped. There are many free tennis courts, huge soccer fields, baseball diamonds, basketball courts, a swimming pool, and winding paths. In all, I would give Patterson Park a 10 out of 10 rating for everything a park should be. Enjoy!

There is no greater attraction in Baltimore than the Top of The World, yet it is overlooked by so many. Right smack in the middle of downtown, minutes from all the other attractions, you will find the World Trade Center Baltimore, and read the signs, you'll find admission for Top of the World. Into the elevator you go to be taken to the top floor of this high rise, where you will find windows all around to let you take in the sights of Baltimore from the raven's eye view (pardon the pun!) It's pretty breathtaking to be up there, away from the hustle and bustle of the city and looking out over the harbor. Definitely worth a stop on your next trip into Baltimore!

For McHenry is one of the best historical attractions in Baltimore--it's reachable by car, but also by water taxi from the inner harbor. In addition to the museum, which is small but interesting, Fort McHenry's grounds are spacious and open to the public. It is located right on the water, so it's got a beautiful view. It's a nice place for a picnic in warmer weather--or just to go for a walk or a jog.

For those of you who rock at duck bowling (or who enjoy it in spite of being sucky) this is a great place to get your fix. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and there is lots of fun to be had.
Last I checked, Patterson Bowl didn't have a liquor license though, so you can't drink pitchers of beer in a desperate attempt to improve your game ;)
I highly recommend a night at Patterson Bowl!

The Baltimore Zoo is another one of Baltimore's attractions for the kids--while it is a very well kept, nice zoo with a decent number of animals, it is on the small side compared to some other zoos I've visited. All the same, worth a visit, particularly if you have kids. They have some really neat events during the year--among the best are the Halloween "Zoo Boo", the "Brew at the Zoo", where local wineries and breweries set up shop, and you can sample their products and enjoy fantastic music.

The zoo is just a few minutes from the Inner Harbor, and has a lot to offer the young and old. The one issue I find is that the zoo is very hilly and it can be hard to walk up and down it all day. They restarted the tram which helps getting around the zoo much easier. The new poar bear exhibit is exciting and amazing to visit. I really like the penguin exhibit, especially when it's feeding time. The trainers are very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend visiting this zoo!

Though somewhat hard to find, Edgar's is a great place to go for playing pool and having a drink. They have several billiards tables and all are in excellent condition. There is a full menu and prices are good. Great bar. During good weather they have a patio area where you can sit outside to eat. Convenient to the Inner Harbor and the sports arenas. This is our favorite billiards place!
