We were visiting Bainbridge Island and meeting for my mom?s 70th birthday. We picked the Four Swallows based on the positive internet reviews. The restaurant exceeded all expectations. The restaurant is warm and comfortable located in the historic farmhouse. We had antipasto, mussels and a Caesar salad to start. Two of us had halibut steaks while my mom had jumbo prawns. All of us agreed every dish was delicious and perfectly prepared. We had a really enjoyable bottle of Pinot Noir for $42
The entire staff was gracious, informative and helpful. Our waitress warned us the portions were generous and steered us from ordering too much. We were glad we took her advice. The worst part of the affair was the fact that we didn?t save any room for dessert. I?d highly recommend the Four Swallows to anyone visiting the Island. It was one of the best meals I have had in a long time and my mom, who lives in Seattle can?t wait to visit again now that she knows about it.
Pros: Antipasto, mussels, halibut
Cons: None

I came here once with my dad and it was both unique and special in its service and its offering. We started with an italian charcuterie plate and two glasses of CA red wine - on our servers recommendation. Dinner was a little slow to come because our server was preoccupied with another larger party, but he made it up to us by bringing TWO free desserts at the end. This place knows dining, knows service, and knows how to charm. HIGHLY recommended.
Pros: Food, Service, Ambience
Cons: Prices.

What a pleasant surprise! The owner, Michael met us at the door and then chatted with us at the bar - telling us about the exquiste wine we had selected from a small winery in Eastern Washtington (and it was fabulous!) and then a hostess guided us to our table in the front room of the renovated farmhouse where we enjoyed pleasant service and perfectly prepared food over soft candle light. The tenderloin is the most tender cut of meat I've ever tasted. Michael explained he is able to get this amazing beef from a small rancher outside of Seattle. This will be our go-to place when we want to entertain out-of-towners or treat ourselves to a great meal out. KUDOS to the chef and the staff!
Pros: welcoming staff, wine selection, elegent setting
Cons: none!

A romantic restaurant with excellent food and service. The mussel appetizer is THE best I've had so far. If you go to Bainbridge Island, definitely check out this restaurant!
