Several families in our community have worked to make our local ARC a vital part of our area for almost 50 years. This facility allows mentally retarded adults to earn a living and helps many of them learn the skills they need to live independently. The people who work here make sprinklers for the many citrus growing businesses here in Central Florida. ARC also oversees several group homes in Highlands County and helps place developmental disabled adults in jobs within the community. It is an excellent organization which has helped our family more than once.
