I find fabulous deals at Big Lots. I always buy my household bleach there because it is 99 cents a gallon. Watch for the buggies up front, full of bargains. Ken, the manager, will put merchandise in there at 75% to 90% off! On top of the corporate sales (look for weekly ads), these prices are hard to beat. If you see a bargain, though, you'd better grab it because it probably won't be there next time you stop in.

I'd been to Family Dollar stores in the past and didn't like them. I'd never visited a Dollar General Store until this past Christmas because I thought they were just like Family Dollar. I got a flier for Dollar General in the mail and thought some of the prices were very good so I went to look around. I ended up almost filling my cart - lol! I bought some name brand toys at very good prices and lots and lots of stocking stuffers for family and friends.

My husband's stepmother used to say she found lots of bargains at Family Dollar so I decided to look around. Now, I have to say she lived in Indiana and that may make a difference but I thought our Family Dollar store was awful! The merchandise looked like cheap, imported crap to me. All the figurines had wayward paint strokes and sloppy faces, for instance, and the clothing was made out of cheap, stiff, scratchy material. I thought the prices were higher than I can find at Wal*Mart, Big Lots, Dollar Tree or Dollar General stores. I've not been back since.
