This is a nice little shop that my wife bought her wedding and prom gowns from. I believe that my Mother purchased her gown for our wedding here as well. What's nice is that there is a sitting area for the men while the woman are upstairs trying on dresses. They have wall to wall dresses, from black tie gowns to wedding gowns as well as shoes to choose from. Some shoes can be dyed but some are leather and can be worn as is. At times, this place can be difficult to find someone to assist you with questions as they tend to cater to wealthy or return clients first. But once you are being helped, it's a great place with knowledgeable staff. They do have sales periodically and these dresses are located in the back of the first floor, down the couple of stairs, near the dressing rooms and shoes.

The Perfect Toy is located directly on route 44 in Avon. It is a wonderful toy store for children. The is slightly more expensive than mass retailers but their product quality is excellent.
For boys, there is a huge selection of Thomas the Train and Brio train sets and accessories. For girls, there are several different doll house lines, dress up clothes and character lines.
The store carries a large supply of arts and crafts products for varying age ranges. Also carries a good sized selection of wooden toys. For the older kids there is a lot of science/chemistry games and activities.
The store will gift wrap purchases for you

The Feathered Nest, lovingly referred to at "The Feathered" by my family and friends is an awesome gift shop and a weekly stop on my weekly Rt. 44 shopping spree. If you want to spend $3.00 or $30.00 you will find a beautiful gift for yourself or whoever you are shopping for. They have unique products that appeal to many styles and tastes. In addition to the trendy gifts you can find anywhere, they have special items that can only be found at The Feathered. The Feathered Nest is a shop you can stop by weekly and things will not look the same. Every time I stop by, there are new items and the displays have been changed. They will always offer to wrap your gifts in their signature gift bags and my friends and family always love when I stop by with a little surprise in a purple gift bag! You won't be sorry you stopped by!

Cookies By Design is a great way to send a gift that will never be forgotten. Their gifts are so original and the cookies are amazingly fresh and delicious. Their arrangements and packages are well planned and so pretty - it makes me hesitate to eat them. The staff really go above and beyond all the way down to their deliveries. They make sure that everything is perfect! This is definitely a better gift then flowers!

I really like this store. I did some Christmas shopping here. They have everything arranged by sport in the store. So, if you are looking for something to do with baseball, you will find everything in one section of the store. They have baseball, golf, swimming, hockey, dance...so much more. The store is small...but they have alot in it. Great variety.

I like this shop because I can count on their selection. They have a good amount of Vera Bradley and Crabtree and evelyn items always available. They also have some wonderful jewelry which caters to a variety of tastes.
They do have another location for the store in Martha's Vineyard, but this is the only one on the mainland.
They have sales here and there, and sometimes I will get a coupon in the mail, but on the whole they tend to run a little higher than averagem but not enough to ward anyone off.
PROS: Good selection of upscale gifts
CONS: Not a high turnover for new items

PC Farm is an excellent source for brand name computer parts at reasonable prices. Their small Avon store is packed with supplies including motherboards, processors, and every other imaginable computer component. The store offers free internet use, although the speeds are absolutely abysmal. Before PC Farm opened, I had to drive approximately 30 minutes to purchase tech-related items. PC Farm also offers top-notch repair services at prices starting at $30 an hour.
