I really love going to Dragon's Lair (guess it's no secret I love action figures and statues....) they have a great selection of Fantasy statues, D & D, action figures and more. It's not just a comic book store, it's a fantasy getaway. I bought my last statue there and the price was much lower than the other places I went ($30 less). The staff is great and so friendly. The parking is great too. It's a great location.

Come here and support a local video/dvd store. This place as a wide variety of movies rather than the very mainstream ones that Blockbuster Carry. IN addition you should "Keep Austin Weird" and help support the local community by renting from here. The employees all have their employee choices, so if you find one with similar tastes it saves you the process of choosing what video you want to rent.

This is a great place to get your quality arcade experience. It's close to UT so it's mostly a student oriented place (not for kids under 14). They have lots of 2-D and 3-D fighting games as well as racing games and shooting games. The music is loud and blarring, but if it's too loud, you're too old to be in this place! The staff is very helpful and the place is huge! I love it!

This is no where close to a corporate Video store. It's a great place to find the unusual and hard-to-find video's for your collection. They carry alot of foreign films as well as independant films. The store is big and organized well so everything is easy to find. The staff will blow you away with their knowledge of movies and film. You won't find any new releases or the most popular here but if you're an old movie buff, this is the place to stop.

The best video store in town if you're a movie buff! If you get on a kick for a certain director (as I often do) it's really helpful because here they have sections organized by director (Woody Allen, Orson Wells, etc.). Their cult section can't be beat! Want a laugh with some friends? Go into the cult section and rent some of the worst sci-fi or horror films ever made! They have a great selection or foreign films too, including great Hong King action films that I haven't found any where else!

The movie store reminds me of the places my family would rent movies from before Blockbuster et. al became so big (and it's not just the VHS tapes). It's kind of musty in there and they seem to be more concerned with holding on to old junk then getting the new releases. That would be fine if they specialized in obscure art or foreign films or masterpieces but the older films I saw there were more along the line of things you want to forget. If you want the newest releases go to one of the big chain stores, they're probably your best bet (the movie store seems to only have one or two copies of even the newest biggest hits). If you're looking for indie/art or foreign films Austin has a few great independent stores where you can find what you're looking for. Sorry but I'm going to have to suggest that you skip the movie store.

This place is much better than any other arcade in Austin. It's HUGE, and there are more than plenty games to choose from. The only thing I dislike about this place is the service at times like 4 in the morning. Yes, it's really early in the morning, but the staff doesn't have to be rude. Overall, Le Fun is just a great place to be and to go when you don't know what to do.

I've been coming here ever since I moved to Austin almost 13 years ago. I love this place. Really, this video store will always hold a place in my heart.
They have everything; every movie you could ever want is located within the confinements of the store. The prices are wonderful. It's only $2.71 per movie or $2.44 if you have your GoLocal card. Even more importantly you can get two videos for the price of one on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Honestly, if you use Netflix and are within range of going to Vulcan Video, I do wish nothing but plague and famine upon you because this is the best video store on the planet. Quit reading this review and go there right now. Seriously.

Megaplexxx is definately a great place for ADULTS only. They carry a huge selection of XXX movies and DVD's in addition to all the toys imaginable. I like the selection of novelties that you surely won't find anywhere else! They also carry costumes (for halloween or ..............). If you're into that sort of thing, they have just about anything you're looking for. I get alot of gag gifts for friends and it's amusing to see the looks on their faces!
