I love the idea (and location) of STA, however when I was a student I really found that I could find better deals by doing the research and booking the trips myself. The staff here is great and nice to talk to - and the brochures in the office are helpful and inspire travel. I know travel agents have a hard time now because of the availbility of good prices on the internet, so I hate to say don't use one...but if you're a student and your main concern is price, you can probably do better yourself.

For a student travel agency, it's at a great location and the people are always really friendly. This only works if you know when and where you are going though, although they do have an option for Around-the-World traveling. (You still need to know locations) As with all other airline ticket purchases, plan way ahead and you'll get the best prices and selection. It may not always beat the online airline search engines but it's worth checking out because they often have access to fares that you can't find online. It doesn't hurt to shop around a little right? Besides, it's nice to talk to a person rather than a computer.
