Terra Toys is a toy treasure chest in Austin. Located on Anderson Lane, this is one toy shop even an adult could get lost in! They have an incredible selection of tin toys, and many other toys that don't require batteries for play, just a little imagination! They carry Thomas the Train items, as well as many joke and gag gifts. They are in a bigger store now too!

I liked it when this store was on South Congress, but parking was a true nightmare! Their new store at Anderson & Burnet is awesome! No parking issues and it is BIG! They have a great assortment of toys, but they are priced moderately high. The staff is always super nice and very helpful. We searched at music stores everywhere to find a child's guitar for my daughter and ended up finding one here for under $75, and it is top quality. They also have a great little boutique selection of children's clothes, but they are extremely pricey. Beautiful, but very expensive! PROS: Location has ample parking, neat selection, great staff CONS: high prices

This place is awesome. They have huge selection of educational and hard to find toys. They also carry a clothing line, a little on the pricey side but would make great shower and birthday gifts. Every time we visit this store I have to give my daughter a budget and time limit to work with otherwise wed be there all day and finally leave with the entire store. They carry the groovy girls and Italian charm bracelets that are really in right now with young girls.

There is also a cool and quiet book section in the back of the store. Finally, you can buy some cute, some locally-made clothes and accessories for your kids. I hav been shoping at Terra Toys for almost 10 years! I have enjoyed their selection over the years and the sometimes hard to find or unique toys/gifts. This place has such a nice selection of items that you're sure to find what you are looking for. Some items are so unique and not found in the local big chain stores that you dont' have to worry about duplicate gifts at birthday parties. Prices are reasonable and the new location is much closer to my house, so no more driving downtown! PROS: New location CONS:
