After being out ot the saddle for 10 years, I made a list of all the bike stores in town and set out on a Trek (hahah...Trek?...no?...sigh) to find a new bike. I really did visit every one (much to my wife's tested patience) and not one of them matched Spin City for dedicated customer service. Eric and Mark really care about their customers and go that extra mile to ensure that you're happy in and out of the shop. Multiple store visits with patient and friendly staff, follow-up calls and emails all made me enjoy my experience more than any I've had in retail...ever. I've never felt compelled to write a review about any shopping experience, but this store deserves your custom. I've found my local bike shop and will be a loyal customer as long as these guys are in charge. Even though they have a smaller store and smaller range of bikes and accessories than some stores Spin City is well worth your visit and your custom.
Pros: Customer Service. Advice. Quality products.
Cons: Smaller range of bikes - BUT - a willingness to get you what you need.

These guys have the right idea, friendly service at great prices. They also carry many great brands of merchandise and STUFF. They know what they are doing and have fun. I also love the fact that they participate in rides and put together group rides via email. This keeps me informed with things related to biking around town as well.
Friendly service, conversations and good people.
Go see them, even if you have to drive....worth it!
Pros: selection and friendliness
Cons: smaller shop but that is what is great about it too

Ture neighborhood bike store. Great people, good prices, nice slections but my most pleasant experience was having them rebuild my road bike drive train. It's tough for me to let anyone wrench on my baby and even tougher when the work is done, well..... WRONG!! I had met the Spin City guys and decided to give them a try. WOW, its like a new bike now. Everytime I ride I am sooooo pleased. They out performed my expectations. Thank you and keep up the great work!

While shopping for bicycle equipment, I discovered Spin City Cycling. It has been one of my greater finds, being new to the area. I had visited other shops and had less than satisfactory experiences while shopping for a new bike. Eric assisted my wife and myself in choosing the proper size and style of mountain bike we would need to ride the local trails. We each bought a new bike and have referred friends to him. He has taken care of minor problems we have had with our road bikes and is willing to share his knowledge of bikes and maintenance of them when asked. If the store does not have something we desire, he is willing to order it for us without hesitation. He handles maintenance in a timely manner and does not stall or put you off. He has never tried to sell me repairs I did not need. He has my recommendation and total confidence.

Pros: Prompt, courteous service.
Cons: Limited clothing choices.

Spin City offers everything a locally-owned bike shop should - a variety of road and mountain bikes for experienced riders as well as those just starting out, quality accessories, parts and service, advice you can trust, and the willingness to get involved with the community. Owners Eric and Mark have fixed my old bikes and sold me a new road bike that was just right for me both in terms of features and price (my wife actually bought it as a Christmas present and they built it up and let her take a picture of it to surprise me since we were out of town over the holidays!). I also bought my daughter's bike, which she has loved riding on the trails in our neighborhood, from Spin City. Their store has great hours and a great location, and is the meeting point for weekend rides. I've been riding for almost 20 years, have lived in other great biking spots such as Madison, Wi and Albuquerque and currently have 5 bikes in my garage, and I can recommend Spin City as one of the best bike shops I've known.
Pros: Variety of bikes and price ranges, customer service, location, community involvement
Cons: Limited clothing selection

They may be small but they are personable and knowledgeable. Can't say enough about how helpful and patient the staff is. A larger store we visited didn't want to spend time working with someone who only wanted to buy in the $300 range. Not everybody who rides a bike in Austin is Lance Armstrong.
