I wanted to make some keepsake ceramic items for my parents and in-laws that incorporated my newborn son. I took my baby to Le Bisque and the owner showed me the cutest idea that incorporated my baby's footprint and handprint. The owner gladly helped me ink up my son and create the most adorable trivets, ornaments ,and coasters. A couple of weeks later, we picked them up and were very impressed with the quality. The grandparents said that it was the best gift they received. The studio is very nice and clean. Le Bisque has many items to chose from and they charge a flat rate.

Lakeline Mall is the most recently built of all the malls here in Texas. It's only a few years old and has more an upscale ambience about it. It has an awesome selection of stores and shops and has every large department store nearby that you could possibly think off. One great thing about it is that it's just off of a hwy 183, a major highway. Traffic to get here from Austin is a killer during weekdays, but is definitely more doable during the weekend.

A Bed of Roses has the best gifts and fresh flowers any where in Austin. If you want to tell someone you love them or just wanted to brighten someones day you need to call A Bed of Roses. I have used this florist for many years they have sent flowers all over the U.S. for me. They even do last minute arragments. I've also used them for all my silk arragements @ my house. I get so many compliments on them. A Bed of Roses is amazing! The name alone is sweet but their store is even sweetier!
Pros: Their service and selection is amazing. They have always worked with me on cost but still make an amazing arrragement
Cons: they are in the back of shopping center so it's allitle hard to find. But it's worth it when you find it.

I went to One World Theatre to see Hugh Masekela. There is not a bad seat in the house and the entertainment is sure to please. The energy inside is electrifying. If it wasn't so far from my house I would go every weekend!

The store offers great quality flowers for pick up and delivery. I had them deliver a condolence arrangement and the recipient called me almost immediately after receiving to say how beautiful it was. They were able to get my order out that day and the price was very reasonable. Even of you are looking for flowers “just because” give them a call. I have seen great specials on roses advertised in the local paper.

This hidden gem off of Oltorf and Congress is one of the best-kept secrets in Austin and I can't believe I'm about to let everyone in on it.
It's one of the most abundant thrift centers anywhere in town. Forget any of the Goodwills your friends have whispered about, this one is where it's all at. They have racks and racks and more racks of children, men and women's clothing. You can also find toys and bags and even stuff for your home. Their strong is really their clothes, though. You'll find gently used clothing and some that you can barely tell if it was worn at all. I have found BCBG, Kenneth Cole and Ralph Lauren at almost new condition.
If you don't mind the used factor and having to look around quite a bit, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Ok, I am the one that throws away my ink cartridge when it is empty and heads out to the office supply store to buy a new one. It NEVER occured to me to save some money and recycle what I has! I stumbled on to Cartidge World because I won a gift certificate. The gift cert. had even expired, and these great employees STILL worked with me and helped me out! I took in my ink cartridge, had it refilled, and paid a very small amount....well, smaller than buying a new one! The employees at this store are always extremely nice and more than helpful! I have been in there several times now and I am simply hooked! SO...the moral of the story is...give this place a chance. You'll be more than glad that you did AND you'll save some money! It's also very convenient for me, especially with 2 kids, it's right by the HEB! No more making an extra stop at Office Max!

We love going to Rootin' Ridge and watching the toymaker in his workshop. We also love how he leaves us alone to examine--and play with!--the toys, but is always available to answer questions. For such a small store, it's amazing how long you can spend there. They carry their own toys as well as wooden toys from the major companies such as Plan and Melissa & Doug. A refreshing change from the plasticky battery-operated marketing-driven toys that fill other stores.

The children's place is one of my favorite places to buy new clothing for my children. I can always count on finding a great deal and extremely cute outfits for my boys. The Children's Place makes good quality clothing at extremely reasonable prices. The staff are always friendly and always willing to help. I also love that they always have the coordinating pieces to purchase.
