The burgers at Player's is what keeps people coming back. This restaurant is very close to the UT campus and so it will be busy anyway, but the food is great. They have special events here often for sporting events and offer lots of food and drink specials during those. Player's is a great place to watch UT games.

Player's is one of the most convenient and affordable places near campus and the downtown area. Their stronghold is their burgers - big and greasy. They have other choices on their menu, but their burgers are unlike any others in Austin.
Their fried mushrooms are also really, really good. You might want to consider taking a trip down here if you haven't been because UT has been going strong on taking this place out to put a gigantic hotel.

Where else can you go to satisfy your hunger for good ol' fashioned hamburgers and shakes at 2 in the morning or any other time of day? Player's Hamburgers is the place! They have unbelievably tasty hamburgers made to order and the best shakes I've ever had. I began going to Player's when I was in college and the cafeteria food in the dorm just didn't satisfy my hunger. I now frequent the place with my spouse and kids. The quality and value have not changed one bit from my first visit 14 years ago.

Players is a convient fast food place located right next to the UT campus in Austin. I visited this establishment on MANY occasions. I loved it. The food is dripping with grease, but that is what is expected from a fastfood joint next to a busy University. Throw in the fact that it is open til 2 am, and you can't beat it!
