Hut's is one of Austin's favorite places for hamburgers. This place is always packed, though, so beware of long lines and finding parking. If you're gonna go for it, though, my suggestion is to get there before the crowds. I've gotten there at 11 AM for lunch and by 11:30 there were only a couple of tables left. It's definitely a busy place but their selection is worth it. Make sure to check their menu online if possible because the variety may overwhelm you, specially if you're hungry and have been waiting for a while. They also shakes and plate specials. Make sure to check the back of the menu to check their daily specials. They always have something going on.

this is your place. The burgers are great (that should go without saying). They have classic malts, plenty of memorabilia on the walls to ponder, and often run 2 for 1 specials. OK, if you go for a 2 for 1 night, plan on reading the chronicle. Front to back. Guaranteed wait, but it's a fun place, good food, and a long time Austin classic.

Huts is an Austin landmark serving up burgers before you were born (most likely). The walls are checkered with Austin memorabilia and items making a busy place with lots to look at. The food is great too. They often offer crazy specials like 2-1s many nights of the week. Beware of hungry crowds though! The legend is out and people will wait an hour and a half for their burgers. The burger combinations they offer have many names like the "boodie burger" or the "zeta special." Combinations like avocado, and jalopenos make this not-your-typical greasy burger joint. If you stop by, you won't be disappointed. They also do thick malts and old fashioned sodas with cherry and vanilla syrups.
