The breakfast tacos at Taco Xpress are the best in town. The atmosphere is definately unusual but the tacos are so worth it. The restaurant itself is small and parking is very limited so plan to wait a bit. The tacos are somewhat small so you'll need at least two, but the prices are so good that's not a problem. A great breaksfast spot which is very representative of south Austin.

Taco X-Press is a must for visitors to Austin, as the cheap and yummy breakfast tacos are served up in a rather "keep austin weird" environment. Maria (the owner from the outrageous bust atop the restaurant) is often present. There is also often a line, and the indoor seating is limited, but I say the tacos and vibe are worth the wait. Outdoors patio chairs and tables are plentiful, but during certain times of the year it may be a little toasty to sit outside and actually enjoy your meal. Compared to the other taco joints in town, Taco X-Press has the best quality taco (in my opinion). I have had problems with slimy eggs at other places, but here they are fried up to perfection. Go Taco X-Press!

I love Taco Xpress's taco's. I have tried almost everything on their menu and have yet to find something I dislike. Their tacos are a bit small so I would recommend ordering at least two per person. The tacos are tasty and affordable. Finding parking is a major problem and there always seems to be a crowd, but I think the wait is well worth it.

Maria's Taco Xpress is another one of the great things about living in South Austin. Evolving from a little trailer into a full blown restaurant compound Taco Xpress serves up really tasty tacos for super cheap prices. A simple bean, potato, and cheese taco on a fresh tortilla never tasted soooo good. They are the best tacos I've ever had.
They make their own super fresh salsa. Parking is a bit of a hassle and the place can get very crowded on the weekends.

Taco Express is a great breakfast spot. They have a great breakfast taco menu at a very cheap price. The service is fast and friendly. They also have
items for lunch. The indoor seating is small but they have outdoor seating. The food portions are generous and freshly made. They always include this great salsa with your taco orders.
