There is a Thundercloud Subs near my current office and there was one near my former place of employment as well. It's hard to stay away - the prices are great, the sandwiches are so good, the ingredients are usually quality, and the staff is friendly. My favorite is the roast chicken sandwich - or anything with avocado. My only complaint is that sometimes the bread doesn't taste especially fresh - but most of the time that's not a problem.

Thundercloud Subs is an Austin original. Their food is very good, they are always busy, but you never have to wait very long at all. I absolutely love their California Club sandwich, mostly because it has avocado on it. They also have cookies and other desserts. This is a great place to stop by for a quick lunch.

Thundercloud subs is a very good option for a cheap and fairly healthy lunch. They have a good selection of subs and build your sub as you order it to your specifications. You can either get a really dressed up sub or a plain jane sub, depends on what you're in the mood for. I highly recommend Thundercloud subs for anybody on a budget and anybody in the mood for a delicious sub.

Thundercloud Subs is a good place to go for a good cheap sandwich. The bread is pretty fresh and the meats are decent. I think of it as an Austin version of Subway. Not fantastic but good if you are in a hurry. I'm a fan of their turkey sub and their cheese sub. They also sell brownies and cookies that are pretty good too. I've been to several locations and my favorite is the comfy Lake Austin Blvd. locale.

Thundercloud is a local institution. Similar to a national chain sub place that many know and fewer love, it's miles above in freshness and quality. I'm particularly fond of the veggie delight which includes something very rare at chain joints-- AVACADO! This is just one example of how Thundercloud does not skimp on top notch ingredients. Because they do offer very interesting and atypical things, sometimes they have to change their offerings depending on availability. To me, this adds to the charm, though it could be annoying to others. The Guadalupe location is busy, but still good. However, I prefer the Thundercloud out at the Arboretum in north austin because you can eat your sandwich outside by the cow sculptures and have Amy's Ice cream for dessert. Either way, this local sandwich place doesn't disappoint.
