I love this lady! I can't stand taking pictures and usually coming out looking fake and forced. Alison takes amazing pictures and I could not have been happier. I asked if I could bring my dog, who is currently my only "baby" and she was perfectly willing to include him and the pictures she took captured him perfectly. Her vision makes us look better than normal and every single time someone visits our house they always ask where we had our pictures taken. she's also good to clients and communicates quickly- I'm looking forward to having more done in just a couple months... I have to say, Alison is THE most amazing person. She is very talented and is just a really cool chick. Which helps you relax and end up with some really great shots. My daughter wasn't exactly in the best mood on our "picture day". I swear to you, you would never know. We got the best pictures. I really was amazed! We have had 2 sessions with Alison (when our daughter was 3 months and 8 months). Alison was fantastic, and we are going to be scheduling 2 more sessions as our daughter gets older. She is extremely patient (Alison, not our daughter), which is critical with little ones and it is obvious she absolutely loves what she does. It shows in her work, which results in wonderful photos. One key to photographing infants and toddlers is lots of shots, and Alison takes a ton. given the amount of pictures she takes the odds are you will walk away with some truly amazing photos. I know with both of our sessions, the photos that she showed us all seemed great, and it was hard to pick out a favorite. Given her artistic eye for a great shot, her love of children, and her passion for her work, it would be tough to find anyone better. Oh yeah, and you get all of this at a very fair price. In short, I would highly recommend her to anyone. Pros: Great photographer, loves kids, loves her work, great prices Cons: None

We found Alison online while searching for a Maternity photographer in the Austin area. We loved the shots on her website and after our initial contact we were impressed with her professionalism and relaxed manner (something we find very important in a photographer - no plastic grins welcome!) She was very flexible with her schedule and offered suggestions regarding the best time to come (later on in pregnancy, earlier in the morning to get the best light) while still leaving the decision making up to us. Prior to our session she offered some suggestions about wardrobe, props we might want to bring, and websites to check out to decide what sorts of poses/pictures we would like to recreate. This helped alot in conveying our vision to Alison ensuring greater success in the session as a whole. The session itself was very relaxed and Alison was open to all ideas we had for photos. We never felt rushed at all, nor did we feel like we were made to hold a pose uncomfortably for minutes while the lighting or camera had to be adjusted. We received our photos very fast - less than two weeks! And were thrilled with the results. We decided to purchase the cd so that we could email the photos to friends and family, as well as print off copies whenever we wanted. Purchasing the cd grants you all the rights to your photos so that you can take the cd anywhere to print off copies and the resolution on these images is so great that no one would know you paid only a few cents at Target to print them. Once our little girl is born we plan on returning to Alison to have her first photos taken. We know we won't be disappointed:) Pros: Professional, relaxed, knowledgeable Cons: Nothing

We wanted to have professional photographs taken of our daughter. I did a lot of research on photographers and focused in on ones that specialized in taking pictures of babies. I was also looking for a photo journalistic style of photography that would capture candid moments. I just did not find exactly what I was looking for until I found Alison Eden's ad in an Austin Parenting magazine. The moment I began looking at the pictures on her website, I knew that I wanted her do the photos for us. Her prices are affordable. Her availability is flexible which is extremely helpful when you have an infant. She gives great suggestions for wardrobe for pictures. She is very friendly, patient and easy to work with in a casual setting in her home or on site. We really like that she doesn't have set packages but is very accomodating for the type of package you are looking for. We ended up doing a package of four sessions and we receive a cd of all the prints for each session. This way we have the rights to the photos and can make duplicates ourselves and post them online for our friends and family to see. Her turn around time for viewing prints on her website is quick. We have done two of the four sessions thus far and absolutely love every picture she has taken. We cannot wait to see the next round of photos as Alison has truly captured great pictures of our family. We have received so many compliments from friends and family on the photographs. I would highly recommend Alison Eden to any one looking for a photographer. Pros: Beautiful photos, friendly, affordable

Alison is a phenomenal photographer and a genuinely nice person. The session isn't too long; she is very good at getting the shots before the baby fusses! She also did a wonderful job on my maternity shots, making me look MUCH better than I felt! My son's pictures were so beautiful that we're going to come back again a couple times before he turns 1. Alison's prices are a steal; you will definitely get the better end of the deal! She's the best!

We used Alison to do portraits of our family. They were better than we had ever hoped for. She did a great job. Very casual, relaxed, made us comfortable right from the beginning and got the photo shoot over with very quickly.
