Bark ‘n Purr has been around since the 50’s and it’s a great place to get your pet supplies. They carry a large variety of supplies for Cats, dogs, ferrets, gerbils and hamsters. The toy selection is great as well as the variety of organic, holistic and specialty foods. It’s smaller than the larger chains and you can take your pets with you as well. I’ve never used the grooming services but have been told they’re great. This is a hometown type of pet shop with the friendliest and most helpful people.

I've been in this place quite a few times in the last 3 years and the selection of unique items keeps getting better! I go in because I collect unusual Cat figurines and novelty items and I can always find something new to add to my collection. They carry other gifts as well like Childrens items, jewelry, stickers, etc. It's really a fun place to browse. The place is small and not very kid friendly.

Of the mass merchant pet stores, Petsmart is my favorite. They have friendly staff and with their PetPerks card you can save some money on the stuff you buy for your pet anyway. I love their selection of foods and treats in the stores. The stores are always clean and well staffed. Their grooming is wondeful and they offer very qualified pet trainers which is an added plus.

Petco is one of the stores which caters to pets alone. They do have a large variety of pet supplies, although they are more expensive than Petsmart and especially Target or even the grocery store. I really only go to them for stuff that I can’t find anywhere else or their dog biscuit bar. I love the idea of a buffet line for dog treats. You just pick and choose which ones you want, bag them up and you’re ready to go. A great idea!
