I usually see the same person for massages and have been happy, but when I wanted to squeeze in a massage and had to book with another massage therapist, my experience was not as good. This therapist was not really rude, but really didn't make an effort to be warm and inviting. At the end of the massage she just left without indicating this was the end of the session or say good bye or thank you for coming and she wasn't waiting outside for me either. I didn't see her after that. I regret the tip I left! A few days later I saw lots of bruising on my hips and legs, which I guess can happen with deep tissue massage, but that's never happened to me before and I've had other deep tissue massages. I did call to complain but was given a $15 credit for another massage, which now that I think about it is nothing. I wish I could have gotten my money back. I save up for occasional massages and felt like this was a waste. I won't be back.
Pros: central location, clean quiet rooms
Cons: expensive, quality of massage depends on who you get!

I have been to Myo several times over the last two years and can confidently say that their staff of therapists is top notch. I'm always met with a kind, knowledgeable intake.
The rooms are extremely comfortable and the music is great; I love that I can relax to The Beatles or Iron & Wine instead of listening to wales mating.
I have never left without the feeling that my therapist must have a doctorate in magic. They have expert knowledge in lymph nodes (I'm convinced they've successfully been able to ward off the flu more than once), skeletal structure (I'll never go to a chiropractor again! I have poor posture from computer work, and the therapists at Myo have ninja skills when it comes to straightening me up.), and the muscular system (I have poor flexibility, and the therapist was able to tell me without question which of my muscles were tight, and work them out so that I'm as flexible after a massage as I am after an hour of Bikram yoga :) just to name a few.
I'm sure they have many more skills that I have yet to experience, and I always look forward to my next visit. Booking appointments is easy, and the reception always provides exceptional customer service. (I've purchased massage oils there too, which are fantastic.) I drive all the way from Round Rock and I highly recommend them!
Pros: great customer service, extraordinary therapists

My boyfriend and I went to Myo after reading the great reviews online. There isn't anything fancy about this business, but if you are only concerned with getting a good massage it's a great place to go. I got a good swedish massage but still have two complaints- My therapist didn't address my TMJ, as others have in the past, and the massage bed was quite squeaky, so it was extremely hard for me to just listen to the music and relax. My boyfriend had a combination of reflexology and structural bodywork and raved about his experience.
Pros: competitive price, accessible location
Cons: lacking the usual spa amenities

A few years ago I was having serious pain in my arms and hands from too much typing, and after having little or no success with acupuncture, I decided to try massage. A friend referred me to Adelyn, and she worked wonders! The massages helped undo the damage caused by the keyboard, and she also counseled me on how to improve my work habits and avoid further damage. Eventually we got things under control and I was able to stop going. I've been happy and pain-free ever since, and I can't thank Adelyn enough. I have recommended her to some of my closest friends, and would again.

MYO was a great massage experience! They asked for information on the type massage you are after, and delivered. The atmosphere is tasteful and quiet, the music choices are individual for your massage, and the facility is clean. Parking is right in front. There are showers for your use, but no steam room or sauna that is provided... bummer - that's why they didn't get a 5 star from me.

I have visited Myo Massage maybe four times now, each time with a different therapist and each time a great experience. The atmosphere is unpretentious, which I appreciate. Fancy day spas make me feel like I am supposed to be wealthy to enjoy the benefits of massage therapy. I enjoy massage because it feels good and also because of what I perceive as the noticeable health benefits. Myo provides a very calming environment without all the hype of over priced day spas. But what's more is every therapist I have worked with has been excellent. They listen carefully to what I am looking for that day, whether it is general stress relief, to work on a crick in my neck, or recurring pain in my upper back, and tailor the massage to my needs.
I tend to prefer swedish style massage. At Myo they follow this preference, but also work in other innovative techniques - that I don't have the expertise to name - to cater to my specific physical needs. I always feel like I am in good hands at Myo.
Pros: excellent massage, calming atmosphere
Cons: I can't think of any.

I went to try Myo because of the reviews, and I was pleased. I typically go to a day spa, but it has a high turnover rate due to its prices, and I get tired of always having to switch therapists. Myo was not what I was expecting. It does not aim for the posh, indulgent atmosphere of a day spa, which I kind of missed. Like they say, it is more of a bodywork center. There are no fancy locker rooms, etc., or people wandering all about in robes, like I am used to. You undress/change in the room where you receive the massage, before the therapist enters. One of the cool things, though, is the opportunity to select your own music during treatment. It may sound like a small thing, but I thought it was really neat, particuarly since ocean waves and new age music don't really relax me. I had a 90 min. massage with Gina to address some tightness in my shoulder and knee from playing tennis. It was not a simple massage, but rather a very therapeutic form of treatment - she really focused on the problem areas, instead of just giving them 10 minutes and moving on. It was sometimes painful, but necessary. Gina was very nice and stayed in communication with me throughout. She explained the problems she was finding, what she was doing to alleviate them, and why. I also liked that she was open to small talk, like when I'm at the barber or something. At the day spa I used to go to, it often seems like they don't want you to ever speak during the massage unless you're in dire pain. To summarize, if you want the resort-style facilites of a day spa (nothing wrong with that), Myo may not be what you're looking for; but if you really want to feel where your money went after the massage is done, I highly recommend Myo's bodywork for quality and results.
Pros: Treatment Quality
Cons: Prefer More of a Spa Atmosphere
