We drove out for brunch today. They list a Hatch Chiles omelet> I have never seen a smaller ombet. Could it have been a 1 egg omlet? Also, where were the hatch chiles? It was easy to try and find them with such a small omelet. We found 1 very small, piit would of diced hatch, we think. That one little peice could have fit on top of a pencil eraser. I have what they called huge breakfast tacos. When finally came out, it was 2 small flour tortillas, small spoonful of egg and some unmelted shreded cheese. WHAT A JOKE! I hve never had anything so tasteless. I know this is a tourist trap, but you would think they could at least have mediocre food so locals would come out ocassionally. I will never recommend this restaurant, but will definitely people to stay away! Pros: see how low the lake is Cons: terrible food - it doesnt deserve one star, needs -*

Overlooking the lake and the many boaters, great for kids too! Drinks are good food ok, but worth every bit of the travel to lake travis. If you go no where else go here! Never even made it out there. I tried to reserve a space to propose to my girlfriend and the hostess told me that they wouldn't even consider it. Said if I wanted a spot I should arrive extra early. Really put off by this, after reading the reveiws about the food I am looking for a new spot. Too bad, the sunset would have been ideal, but they don't own it.

This place is incredible when walking in. The view is AMAZING. Overlooks lake Travis from atop a 400-something foot cliff. BUT the food is less than great. I would only recommend this place if you want to have drinks or maybe an appetizer; chips and dip. The fajitas were probably the worst I've ever had. But i would still go back just for the view. Two months before our scheduled cruise ship wedding we had to change our plans because of Hurricane Ike. I was fortunate enough to stumble upon The Oasis and even more fortunate to discover they had one room left on my date! Jill Moore and Scott Tell were amazing. Jill was very patient with the many changes I made to everything. She was helpful in offering suggestions from the best place for the sweetheart table to tips on how to save money on linens. And then there is Scott - our actual day-of coordinator. Scott made my vision come to life. Everything was perfect. He was always right there when we needed him. He even escorted us to a perfect out of the way spot to take pictures with the full moon in the background. The entire staff was friendly and helpful and always there when needed but never obtrusive. And the food was incredible as well - we had many guests that had expressed dismay in the reputation of the cuisine but I can assure you the food was delicious! Everyone was impressed that we had such an elegant and expensive seeming wedding - but everything was very affordable (for a wedding). The only regret we had? That we hadn't planned a longer reception! Everyone was having so much fun it was hard to leave when the time came. Pros: Attentive staff, gorgeous views, fabulous food, perfect wedding/party venue Cons: None

The view is beautiful but that is where it ends. A group of friends met me there to celebrate my birthday. The waiter was completely rude and inattentive. Plus he forgot to submit my order so I didn't get dinner. When we asked him to remedy the situation he acted like he was doing us a favor by even waiting on us badly. We had 7 people in our party and it seemed like he didn't care because gratuity was included already. The manager didn't do anything when we complained. My friends shared what they ordered with me. The food was not good or near worth the price. I will never go back there again! Pros: the view Cons: food, bad service
