A great place for hanging out. The pizza is great here, fresh and delicious. Pros: null Cons: null

Worst

This was the worst Italian experience ever. The pasta was bland and lukewarm. The bread was stale and tasteless - not even sure what kind it was. I know that pizza is supposed ...

Simply great pizza. If you don't want pizza, have Guido's Garden salad, fresh and tasty. Their lunch special can't be beat. The staff is always great. more

Take an Elvis or Don Ho painting 6/22/2011

After hearing about it and reading about it for awhile, I finally made my way over there. The parking was a little tight but if you go at the right time (5:37 pm) you should be ok. I invited a few friends to go along so there were four of us, a few is three, not two like some non Austinites seem to think. (3 + 1 = 4) The math doesn't lie. Anyway, we sat amongst some of the beautiful people and marveled at the thought of mingling with other Austinites. We were all dressed casual but yet, sophistocated. It was our Hawaiin shirt night so we were all sporting our tiki wear (that's what I call it) and I must say we looked good. Me especially! I was wearing my favorite tiki shirt that cost me well over $100. It's so cool even Don Ho would've been impressed! Ok, anyway, the pizza was good but not outstanding. I've had outstanding and 'just good' on many occasions so I know what I'm talkng about. The staff was friendly enough but I detected our waiter to be a tad bit snobby (As if, ha, ha, ha!) Anyway, I would go there again in a year or two after I had pretty much forgotten I had went there before, it's decent place. It could stand a good mopping though. Maybe an Elvis painting on the wall or something cool, maybe a Don Ho painting. more

Worst and most expensive pizza we've had 9/23/2010

We stopped in after someone said this was the best pizza. We ordered a large with several toppings. It was $26, thick, undercooked and generally lousy. We stopped in at a bar that doesn't serve food,on our way home, and gave it away. more

great food, great service, great wines 9/21/2010

all around great restaurant! I love the fresh Spinach they will add to you pizza! Nice wine selection too! Nice place for families and be sure to check out the covered outdoor patio! more

Terrible experience 3/13/2010

I ordered a calzone due to tomato allergies. Since the sauce isn't an option, the server suggested Alfredo sauce. Great suggestion but I was charged for the sauce without being told. The sauce definitely wasn't worth paying as the flavor was lacking. Cons: not accomodating for allergies more

Good Pie 1/8/2010

If you want good pizza, you must try this place. If you want anything else, look some place else. The pastas are a joke and their glasses of wine are more like thimbles of wine. That said, I have never been let down by any of their pies, and I think I have tried them all. Definitely worth trying! Pros: pizza pie, prices, parking Cons: pasta dishes, wine portions more

Cute Little Place 5/21/2009

Cute little place with a good rep. Went there to check it out and there were so many options. I played it safe with chicken parm and my husband had a pizza. Boy it was good stuff. Staff was slow and spacey though. Pros: Food Cons: Wait Staff more

Dank!!! 5/19/2009

Went here on a friend's recommendation for the calzones and... yea... they are the shiznit. I haven't tried anything else, but by the looks and smell of it I wouldn't be suprised if everything else on the menu is dank. Pros: delicious , small and cozy Cons: too far from my house more

GOOD PIZZA GREAT ENVIRONMENT, close to other fun bars 4/21/2009

this place has pies and that is what it's good for, don't expect some high end food, it's great without being overly pretentious but nice folks. Right by Huts burgers, easy to get to and bars within walking distance. more

If you're Downtown 2/3/2009

Hey. truth be told, Austin is not a great pizza town but Frank and Angie's has pretty good pie. And the lasagna is really good. All of the pasta is good too. I guess it's just a good downtown Italian joint. Jumpin' and lunch time, and that is always a good sign. more

Delicious 6/11/2008

Great pizza. Menu has lots of options and may have combos you haven't heard of before. \r \r Wait staff is friendly and the decor is nice. \r \r Parking isn't as bad as you might imagine considering its location. \r \r And you might get a glimpse of Leslie! more

Great Lunch! 3/3/2008

I went here today on the recommendation of a friend who wanted to meet for a quick lunch. I had the slice and salad combo for $6.50 and got a salad & slice of pepperoni. Pros: Nice small room atmosphere, small down home attitude Cons: Pizza was a little greasy, service was a tiny bit long for what we got. more

My Cloak of invisibility 2/26/2008

I thought I had left my cloak of invisibility in the car, but I must have mistakenly worn it into the restaurant. I just wanted a light lunch, a slice, salad and a tea. It was 1:30 when I walked in so the lunch rush was over and there were only a few people in the place. The sign said to seat yourself, so I did. I was there maybe 1 to 2 minutes when another guy by himself walked in and he sat at the table right in front of mine. We continued sitting for a couple minutes when one of the employees told another that there were a couple guys seated and waiting. The fact that I couldn't make out his response makes it seem as tho it was a wisecrack. He walked over, got a menu and gave it to the other guy asking what he wanted to drink. He walked right between our tables to go get it. He came back and the guy ordered. He again walked right between our tables to go place the order. I thought now he'll service me. I was wrong. He walked over to another table to pick up the payment from another table. He made a point to go out of his way to walk by my table yet again. I waited another minute or two and at 1:41, The message was clear, he was not gonna wait on me for some unknown reason so I put my jacket back on and walked out. I'll be leaving the same review on Yelp as I'm an Elite Yelper. Also, city search charges businesses 50 cents each time someone clicks on there city search listing. This is gonna cost them a buck or two a day for however long I feel like it. Pros: none Cons: That it is in business more

SMALL Pizzeria - BIG on Taste! 10/25/2007

Frank & Angies is a hidden gem! Has some of the BEST Pizza that we?ve found in Austin. This small pizzeria has tasty pizza?s. I happened upon Frank & Angie?s when I was visiting the book store downtown. The kids were in the mood for pizza - I wasn?t. I was pleasantly surprised. We had pepperoni & the kids had the WORKS. It?s a little high for pizza, but the taste is much better than most. Nice memorabilia & music to add to the enjoyment. Parking can be a problem, but worth the effort. Pros: Taste Pizza's, Nice Atmosphere. Cons: Parking spaces are limited - can be a problem. more
