?Habitat Suites is an oasis in the middle of Austin, Texas. Their commitment to Ecological Consciousness sets the bar for Green Hotels. Enjoyed an awesome (and sustainable) breakfast of eggs (from happy chickens raised at a local farm) with biscuits plus gravy or local fruit. The grounds have integrated vegetable gardens with indigenous plants and they often donate vegetables to the homeless. The suites are beautifully appointed and I love the fact they use environmentally safe cleaning products. I would recommend Habitat Suites to anyone visiting Austin or for just a great escape if you are local. Be sure to try the saline pool and note the solar panels that grace the roof! I give this environmental hotel 5 stars!?
Pros: Ecological Consciousness, Sustainability, Green Hotel, Solar, Gardening, Environmentally Friendly,

Beautiful 1890's Victorian home with a great back deck for breakfast by the pond. The Van Gough room was very comfortable for the two of us, with artwork and books about the painter. Robin was most helpful but unobtrusive as with some B&B's. We would love to stay again!
Pros: Beautiful Grounds, Good Privacy, Great Value

Best food I've had in a long time - flavorful & prepared for our utmost enjoyment. Salmon was tender and moist with a nice textured crust. The atmosphere is relaxing and intimate. The service was all suberb. I would recommend it to friends and family. Thanks for a most enjoyable evening!

This is a great wedding spot (and a pricey one) overlooking Lake Travis. The grounds, gazebo, and facilites are very pretty and elegant. My only complaint is the drive to get here - having people drink and have fun at your wedding and then deal with the winding, long drive back into Austin seems like a bad idea. But that's probably just me.....

It may not be the most luxurious hotel...but the staff is friendly. I have no complaints about this hotel my friends and family stay here when we travel to Austin. It seems to have history as a part of Austin and in my parents life...they meet at UT and spend many night at the Holiday Inn, we find it to be traditional and comfortable.
Pros: Friendly Staff, Free Parking, Shuttle to 6th Street

I stayed for one night before an early flight last month (I'm an Austinite). Very quiet room and easy shuttle to the airport. Valet parking while I was away was less than the airport and very convenient. I came back to Austin at 1:30am and the shuttle arrived within 5 minutes of my call. Highly recommend.
Pros: Easy shuttle to the airport. Nice staff.
Cons: None!

We LOVED The Austin Folk House. It was like staying at an exclusive art gallery with the all the comforts of a high end hotel. The rooms are delightful and we loved the extras--new mattresses, fluffy towels and even shower gel! The place was great but what could beat getting a great cup of coffee and going to sit on the porch on a beautiful spring morning. The breakfasts we enjoyed were some of the best ever--especially the raspberry French toast...Yum.

The Hyatt on town lake has great customer service and has the most beautiful views overlooking the city. The decor is very modern and stylish. The location is perfect, midway between the great shops on South Congress and the nightlife of downtown. I have been to Austin many times and this hotel is by far my favorite to stay at.
Pros: Parking, Customer Service, Location
Cons: None

First of all, this hotel has a TGI Friday's and a Starbucks all inside! If that's not enough, the location is spectacular. It is located next to the beautiful Town Lake, 6th Street and the Convention Center. The staff is kind and courteous and offered me any service I requested. The perfect family or just business trip environment!

I had a certain image of what I wanted my wedding to be. Lauren at Vintage Villas helped me create the perfect evening! I couldn't be happier! She was absolutely amazing to work with and made the evening so beautiful. Even though the bartender was rude it didn't matter because the food, the view and the service of everyone else was outstanding. I couldn't have asked for anything more!!
Pros: view, customer service
Cons: bartender
