In Short Originally a wedding gift from Thomas Wooten (a founder of UT) to his son in 1900, this grand colonial mansion has been restored into a stunning boutique hotel. Its majestic setting includes the exterior's white, soaring columns and the interior's opulent chandeliers and wood floors. The 48 well-appointed rooms are decorated with deco and antebellum touches and include Edwardian-style furniture, high-speed Internet, 310-thread count sheets, L'Occitane bath products and digital CD stereos.

In Short Small and intimate, located just inside the front door of the Mansion at Judges' Hill Hotel, this elegant bar features high ceilings, polished wood floors and curved glass windows. Views of the gallery and tree-lined courtyard provide a soothing backdrop for romantic couples conversing over drinks. Top-shelf liquor, a variety of beers and an impressive wine list draw crowds, particularly on the weekends.
