I have been seeing Dr.'s Todd and Laura Whipple for around 6 years now and all I can say to anyone who wants the best treatment for all the aches and pains one accumulates over the years, this couple is at the top of the list! They are very sincere about you and your health. They love life and they do everything in their power to ensure that you get the best possible treatment as soon as you walk through their door and are greeted by their wonderful receptionist named Zee. They are quite special and whenever I leave after a treatment my energy level is unsurpassed.
Pros: demeanor of staff, the massage chair, detox foot baths, chiro adjustments
Cons: aren't they behind bars?

Matt Kirsch is a terrific acupuncturist and his craniosacral work is amazing!
I have a tendonitis in my thumb called de Quervain's and I have tried a cortizone shot, but that didn't work. My husband suggested acupuncture, so I researched and found Matthew Kirsch. I studied his website and decided to give him a try. First of all, With his soft voice and strong handshake, I knew at once I was in good hands. He is kind and gentle and made me feel relaxed and comfortable. I could open up and tell him all my physical and even mental/emotional issues and he listened and then used that information to find the sources of my problems. Now I go regularly, not only for my tendonitis, but for the help he has given me in all areas. I feel that he really gets in tune with my body and allows it to tell him where I need healing. I can see that he is passionate about what he does and this makes a big difference in the effectiveness of the treatment. He is attentive to the needs of the patient. If you want to try acupuncture, but are apprehensive about it, Matt is your answer. Now my husband and I are going in for sessions. I feel that it is so much better than massage, especially in the long run, and it is cheaper! ($75 for 90 minutes). Matt definately gives you your money's worth.

I have known and been a patient of Dr. Zamora for more than 10 years. He is a very caring and kind doctor. He also has a great office staff, there is very little turnover in there! On one occassion, my ill grandmother was visting from San Antonio. I had to page Dr. Zamora for a problem with my daughter, and asked him what to do with my grandmother, who had blood in her vomit. It was July 4th, and he told me to take her to the ER. He said it was ok to put him down as her doctor, and he came down that night to take care of her. He took fantastic care of her, and she loved him. She normally hates doctors!

I have been to AHHA for acupuncture and herbs many times over the years and I am always happy and sometimes amazed with the results. Dave and Heather have helped me with everything from colds and flu to migraines to stress. Every time I start to feel like I?m coming down with an infection I call the clinic and they get me right in. I get a treatment and they send me home with herbs, which don?t taste all that great but they WORK! Instead of being sick for a week, I feel much better after a treatment and a couple doses of herbs. Works every time! The first time I went to AHHA with a migraine, it took one treatment to knock it out. I walked in nauseous with my head throbbing and walked out pain-free. Not all ailments are fixed after just one treatment, of course. I see Dave on an on-going basis to help manage stress and PMS. A treatment once a week along w/ herbs really helps even my moods and manage the physical symptoms of PMS. Dave and Heather are both incredibly knowledgeable?they explain things in terms of both modern scientific research and ancient philosophy. I highly recommend AHHA.
Pros: Huge selection of raw herbs, plenty of parking, great practitioners, comfortable space.
Cons: Herbs taste bad, just can't get around it. I don'

I was referred to Dr. Donna Shepherd about 6 years ago by a close friend and am I ever grateful! She provides the best care at a fair price. In these years I have been fitted for 2 pair of lenses/frames and countless boxes of soft contacts. She also recently found and cleaned a sore under my eyelid what was causing me pain. I though it was a piece of embedded sand or something. I have never been disappointed with the service including the technicians out front.......
After seeing her for 3 years, I tried going to a local (Round Rock) doctor for about a year (I think it was 3 visits). I only did this because it was closer and I figured they were probably all the same. During my visits they got my prescription wrong, tried to upsell me in several areas, and overbilled me anyway. Not impressed at all and very disappointed. I'll never switch again as long as I live in central Texas.
Pros: Knowledgable, -- helpful staff that listens to the patient; -- Good prices; -- Friendly
Cons: I wish they had a better sign on the road, sometimes hard to find; -- They are only in Austin, and therefore I have to drive from Round Rock

He has the most wonderful bedside manner with his patients, and he always seems like he truly cares. He also has amazing nurses! I appreciate that I always feel comfortable in his office and that he never makes me feel like he is judging me.

More 1 year ago
After several years of suffering from chronic lower back pain that left me nearly immobile at times - standing in line to get tickets for a movie was impossible for instance, I decided to try acupuncture. Still skeptical of non-traditional treatments, I sought out a practitioner that was also an MD. I could not be happier with that decision or with Dr. Ximenes.
Rather than just ask me about my back, Dr. X asked me about my life. An hour and twenty minutes into my first visit, we were done talking and he recommended nutritional supplements, a book to read, and a 5 element acupuncture process that he said, "Has nothing to do with your back, but you'll be amazed how much better your back will feel".
I still visit Dr. X on occasion, I still get flair ups due to excessive periods of stress or perhaps even from lifting a heavy object carelessly. I see him perhaps once every six months. Being a technical person, I very much enjoy his explanations of how and why his techniques work.
Prior to meeting Dr. X I was seeing a chiropractor regularly and was taking Vioxx, Bextra, and was getting cortisone shots in my lower back. No one remedy was effectual for more than 30 days. For a couple of years now I've been absolutely medicine free, I am exercising and cycling regularly - and waiting patiently in line to see a movie now and then!
Thank you Dr. Ximenes!

My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Weaver for at least six years. He is very professional, competent, and a really nice guy. He takes the time to explain what he's doing to check out your eyes and is really dedicated to making sure you get the right prescription. He will also go the extra mile on contacts to make sure that you have a type that feels comfortable and provides you with good vision correction at the same time.
