Chuy's on Barton Springs Road offers a great atmosphere, great food and great drinks. The location is very easy to get to, but the traffic is sometimes pretty backed up around that area. There is limited parking, and there is always a wait, but the food is worth the wait time. They have really good margaritas also.

this is your place. The burgers are great (that should go without saying). They have classic malts, plenty of memorabilia on the walls to ponder, and often run 2 for 1 specials.
OK, if you go for a 2 for 1 night, plan on reading the chronicle. Front to back. Guaranteed wait, but it's a fun place, good food, and a long time Austin classic.

I came to Saba recently with some co-workers for happy hour and we had a feast for less than $100 for 8 people. We ordered several appetizers and everyone had a cocktail...or two. Their happy hour prices can't be beat. The calamari and tuna appetizer are especially yummy!
Pros: Prices, Atmosphere
Cons: Parking?

Amazing restaurant with amazing food every time. Try everything when you go (not just the stuff that doesn't scare you). The people watching is fun when you have to wait outside and the servers and cocktail waiters are awesome.
I highly recommend going before you get hungry as you'll probably have to wait a long time for a table. If you are with a significant other, SIT AT THE SUSHI BAR. It's a great experience. Let them put together the meal for you. The goat cheese and apple sashimi is amazing.
Pros: The food is amazing. The servers are very nice. Fun atmostphere.
Cons: Bar and sushi bar are both too small. Long wait.

So I've always been afraid of sushi, because raw meat just doesn't sound appetizing. My bf is a HUGE fan of sushi & las night talked me into trying it one time. We went to Haiku b/c it was recommended by friends. The restaurant was completely empty on a Tues night, which is a shame, because we both thought it was fantastic! Our waitress was attentive and very knowledgable about the menu, her recomendations were spot on. We had the Haiku roll, as well as eel, crawfish, smoked salmon, and the crunchy roll. The smoked salmon roll was *fantastic*. The only one that failed to impress was the crunchy roll, which was bland (she warned us it was popular, but not one of her favs!) We avoided the pineapple saki on others' advice, but did order the peach saki, which was excellent. He ordered a Japanese beer. Total for the dinner & drinks was only $50, and we had enough food for one more meal. Our advice: go to Haiku-- you won't regret it!
Pros: Excellent food & service, great price!
Cons: None

I eat out alot in Austin and used to frequent the warehouse district often. I went back to Kenichi yesterday for the first time in several months. I had a really great experience. I forgot what great diversity was available on the food and drink menus. Great sushi? You got it. Cooked fish? The cod was outstanding. Steak? We were introduced to a fantastic new "kobe"ish marbly local beef wrapped around bleu cheese. Wow. I like to throw alot of questions out there for the service staff, it seemed everyone that came into contact with our table was on top of their game. We had some great cold sake as well, with excellent melon and citrus flavors. Peeked at the wine list, it looked impressive. The server was very proud of their sake and wine program and told us they trained frequently. Apparently its one of the largest sake lists in the state, designed by a sake sommellier(!) Bravo to Kenichi and its staff for its dedication to quality upscale food and drink. I'll be back.
Pros: Service, food, atmosphere
Cons: which bathroom is which?
