Stayed here on our wedding night. Granted, the service is good. They gave us complimentary chocolate strawberries. But, the room is old and not four star worthy. There was a dog barking in the next room (we called the desk and it was eventually quieted), and it just wasn't as nice as the price would indicate. Only exception- the Four Seasons Cafe, the hotel's restaurant, is worth every penny. Absolutely divine food and service. Eat here, don't stay here.

This is a great wedding spot (and a pricey one) overlooking Lake Travis. The grounds, gazebo, and facilites are very pretty and elegant. My only complaint is the drive to get here - having people drink and have fun at your wedding and then deal with the winding, long drive back into Austin seems like a bad idea. But that's probably just me.....

We had our wedding reception here. The owner, Kathleen, is very nice and accomodating. She is a bit eclectic, but she is truly wonderful. She went above and beyond to give us a beautiful reception. Most of the reception was outside. The grounds are beautiful, so it made for very little decorating expenses. We put tents up in the driveway that served as a shield from the sun, where the food was served, and later where the dancing was. At night, the trees are lit up in beautiful lights. The cake cutting was inside, which was perfect. This is also a bed and breakfast, and might I add that this house is simply breathtaking. It is decorated beautifully. We stayed in the Blues Traverler suite on our wedding night and everything about it was perfect. The next morning, we had breakfast there and it was just wonderful. It was truly like a dream come true. Russell Crowe likes to stay here when he is in town!

There are so many great things about this place! It is a great little unique pharmacy. It has truly exquisite and unique gifts and products. And it also has an awesome flower shop that delivers. You can't miss here! Another great thing is that you can wonder around the store and find all kinds of neat gifts for your family or friends, but you'll also find LOTS of great treats for you!

This skating rink has been around for too many years to count and during our last visit it seems as though the years are showing. Fortunately most children do not care about the appearance and just enjoy the skating aspect. If the rink got a new makeover it would be so much better. The appearance made it look like it was not kept clean or kept up at all. Everything just looked and felt dirty that I constantly wanted to wash my hands but the bathroom was not much better. The prices were comparable to other skating rinks, I just hope they renovate soon!

We stayed at this Austin Doubletree this weekend while attending a wedding. I would rate the hotel as an average experience. The location is very conveniently located at the intersection of IH35 and SH290. It is a large hotel with a courtyard featuring fountains and a pool. They have many meeting rooms, as well as a restaurant and lounge.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was surprised that you had to pay for parking in the garage, especially since this is not a downtown location. That added $8 per day to the price of the hotel. The rooms were average, but seemed a little small. We had a room with two beds. It seemed very crowded, and the beds were doubles instead of queens. Overall, I'd give this hotel an average rating.

I had my wedding dress altered here and I had the most perfect experience. The alterations were perfect and they seamstress was so helpful. I got the dress before the promised date. The hours of business are also very convenient. My bridesmaids also purchased their dresses at Bridesmart. It was great that they could go to Bridesmart other cities and the employees could pull up the information and get them their dress. Very hassle free! The sales representatives were very friendly and helpful getting sizes, helping with zippers & accessories.
I purchased my dress at a location in another city and both locations exceeded my expectations!

Designer Exchange in Austin, TX is a small store packed with gently used women's clothing, shoes, purses, and accessories. It is in a small strip center behind Northcross Mall on Anderson Lane. The prices are great, especially for special events, even wedding attire, suits, and casual clothing. I cycle my nice clothing there, and buy more at a lesser price.
