If you are a photo hobbyist, or a professional making a living, then you need to go to Precision Camera & Video. It is a family run establishment, and is the only real choice for photographers in Austin and Central Texas. You might think that a brick and mortar store cannot compete with the internet retailers in terms of price, but Precision's prices are comparable to any legitimate web site I have found. I recently bought a Nikon D70 from Precision, and the in-store price was lower than any of the online prices I could find. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they use fairly low-pressure sales techniques. I highly recommend Precision Camera & Video.
