This book store is huge. And it's full of books at half price or less. They have books from every category you would want as well as cds, videos, dvds, little knick-knacks like stationary. One treasure box is the clearance section where you can find books for $1. I have found some nice, cheap finds there and make it a point to look in that section whenever I go. They also have recent, popular magazines, so if you don't want to pay full price at the grocery store, pay half price the next week here.

May of the books they sell are brand spankn' new. Just books that didn't sell in time from a print run.

You have to visit Half Price Books on N. Lamar if you haven't already. It seems like it's as big as the flagship store in Dallas. They have almost anything you could be looking for. They also buy back books, DVDs, CDs, and records at really good prices. We got lots of money for CDs that Cheapo's wouldn't even take.

Half Price is a great used bookstore located in Austin. They have many old books in stock at a very reasonable price. They also have a descent collection of records and magazines too. I used the booktore on several occasions. They have plenty of copies of the classics that are used in basic english college courses.

You'd be surprised how many children's books they have here. It's the best place in town to buy them as they are super affordable. Just think about how many kids outgrow their books. They all end up here. This place is also great to go to if you have an interest in a particular topic. For example, they have tons of gardening or cook books if you decide to take up an interest in those topics. It's a cheap way to explore hobbies! Either way, I would definitely check out any Half Price Books location before going anywhere else. I guarantee you will save some money.

First of all, unless you want to get ripped off more than you ever have in your entire lifetime, do NOT sell them anything! They give you about 5 cents for every book. I brought in 2 huge boxes of many many books and they offered me $6. I was so upset I just took the flippin $6 and left. I've regretted that for a long time. You'd be better off donating them to a charity in need. With that out of the way, Half Price Books is a good place to go if you don't want to pay full price for a new or used book. Even half price can be a bit expensive but if you really have to have something, coming here would be a good idea. They often have really great sales on all kinds of books which is awesome. They also have a huge record collection if you're into vinyl.

This is a great place to find cheap books. They always have interesting books in the clearance section. You can also cell them your used books, but they don't give you much for them. Not more than a few cents! Not only do they sell books, they also sell old records, cds, books on tape, journals. Great place to find a gift for someone!
