I was really weary about trying a new place and I usually go onto Citisearch to read reviews ahead of time because I like to hear what other consumers, like myself, have to say. I would have to say, this salon is by far the best in Austin. I've been coming here for seven months and I'll never go anywhere else. My colorist does an excellent job and we talk about everything everything under the sun. My cut is also great. I read a review in here saying that Michelle needs direction and that's never the case with me personally. I always get exactly what I want and I love it when I leave. She even stayed late a few times to fit me in because my schedule was crazy in Feb and March and that made me feel awesome. While I'm there I like to watch all of the stylist working, I actually watched someone getting extensions! I'm thinking of doing it maybe for my wedding. I love coming in and having a cold glass of water while my whole head is pampered. Did I metion how much I love the scalp massage??? I've been to see other stylist who were great, just not a good fit for me, and that is normal, believe me if you get your hair done professionally you know you have to find the one for you, Michelle is mine. I have been to the salon a few times now and wouldn't go anywhere else. Its certainly nice to be surrounded by beutiful people who want to make me look good. After I had my hair cut and had the tips done by Michelle (dont know last name) I certainly recieved a positive response from the opposite gender. I found the atmosphere to be friendly. I was talking with Michelle and the stylist next to her and his client. We were all debating where to get the best Mojito in Austin (Dona Emillia's on San Jacinto if you were wondering). Once I was done in the chair, Michelle walked me to the front desk and made sure I was satisfied with the results. The front desk personnel were very friendly and helped me schedule another appointment in a few weeks. One other thing, you can even have a glass of wine/beer while you are being pampered. That rocks on a Friday afternoon. Pros: Fun atmosphere. Great Location. Cons: Parking can tricky for first timers.

I have only been in Austin for a few years, but have experienced several of the more upscale day spas here! You know, I have to say that all around, Aziz provides THE BEST spa experience EVER!! The staff is so friendly AND professional--THAT NEVER HAPPENS...The facials (specifically speaking of Pamela) are wonderful, she's gentle and educated. I think that everyone should try Aziz!

Going to a salon is a tricky business, especially when you're paying a fair amount of money for a service on a tight budget. Aziz has a very nice desk staff and a nice manager, but do not go to stylist Michelle T - she's got a terrible attitude and will argue with you rather than nicely resolve differences, such as the one I experienced. I went to Michelle to get a cut and color, and, as I was sitting in the chair, I noticed that the gray didn't seem to have been covered all the way. Michelle said it was because the lights in the salon were very bright. LESSON TO ALL: do NOT allow yourself to be pressured by a stylist! When it became clear that the color really hadn't taken, we started the awful process of trying to resolve it. She never said "I'm sorry, let's see how we can take care of this!" Instead, I got a cold stare and an attitude, and criticism that I wasn't being flexible enough with HER schedule to resolve the problem. I don't know about you, but who wants to go to a salon and NOT get what they paid for and instead get a lot of attitude and criticism in return? Yikes! She is a terror. Stay away - she is competent with scissors if you give her a LOT of direction but when it comes to color and customer service, she is a real disappointment. Pros: Nice front desk staff and manager Cons: Rude and incompetent hair color stylist

My husband and I recently drove from Waco to Austin for an afternoon at Aziz spa. He was quite unsure about the whole thing, but had to admit he received the best haircut, beard , and mustache trim from Sarah he has ever had! The beard trim, especially, was contoured perfectly to his face. He also received a complete facial, which he didn't think would do much good, but when he came out he was actually glowing. Being a golfer and out in the sun all day, his skin was in much need of this service, and even he, was taken back by it. They also recommended a greaseless product to use to prevent UV damage. The only con to the whole thing is that we wish we were closer to Austin, but we will definitely to make periodic trips in the future! Pros: It's all about the customer Cons: Just wish we were closer to Austin! (Waco)

I moved to Austin about 3 years ago and needed to find a place to get my hair colored and cut. Most places I had gone too were either too punky, too snooty, or just didn't give me that "comfortable" feeling that I get at Aziz. Michelle has been doing my hair for the past year and a half and I recommend her to everyone who compliments me. I book all of my appointments for the year and they call to remind a day or two ahead of time, which is great considering I'm always so busy. Its nice to walk into a spa and have the receptionist greet you by name with a smile and more importantly, something cold to drink, lets face it, Texas is HOT! You should definately try Aziz, its downtown, with a parking lot, the employees are well trained and friendly, and its not over priced like most downtown spas. ***Go check them out, even my wax was phenominal*** Pros: I feel like a star from start to finish and very clean Cons: Haven't found any!!!!

AZIZ Day Spa is a great place to be pampered. The hair department is wonderful! I had extensions ordered an put in my hair in less than 10 minutes and it looked terrific! Hair removal was pretty much painless and the pedicure was great, too. No nasty tubs that can circulate harmfull bacteria here. You get a clean, fresh tub of hot soothing water everytime along with a glass of wine or margarita. Next appointment is for a photofacial, which is going to really improve the health of my skin.
