Rudy's has pretty good barbeque, but the primary reason I go to Rudy's is for the breakfast tacos. The restaurant is pretty self serve for picking your sides, drinks, and desserts and then your order the meat or hot sides. The brisket is good, juicy and tender. Their roast chickens are great as well. Rudy's is one of the better BBQ restaurants in Austin.

The BBQ is simply great! You get it how you like it, trimmed, with fat, whatever. I prefer the MOIST here. MMM.... The prices at Rudy's are also great. Nothing seems to be overpriced. You can come in in shorts and a t-shirt and fit in. You can come in after church and fit in. We have had Rudy's on Easter Sunday. I even went to a rehearsal dinner at Rudy's! Here is something else that you can't beat! If you have a large party, you can order AND get your food rather quickly! Awesome!

Their trimmed brisket IS SOOO GOOD! Always. Perfectly consistent. And their peppery sauce...mmmm.
This place is great fun (if you aren't into white tablecloths...or any tablecloths for that matter).
Stand in line and pick your meats, your sides, your drinks. Eat indoors or out at a picnic table. Smile. Enjoy yourself. Bring your friends. Talk to the people down the table that you've never met.

This place is good especially if you have a big party. You stand in line and order and they put it together right there in front of you. You can even see the chefs cutting the meat. I'd recommend the extra moist brisket. All the sides are really good too. The seating is kind of like a picnic table arrangement with long tables and benches along them so you can accomodate a lot of people.

I Love RUDY's! IT is the best barbque I have ever had. It is located in Austin and is famous statewide in Texas. I would suggest anyone visiting Austin to definietly stop and eat at Rudy's. The atmosphere is perfect and makes the experience even more exceptional. This place is GREAT!

They have beef, ribs and sausage etc in the menu, and you will got pieces breads with your order. The sauce is on the table. And eating on the raw wood table is different and fun.

Rudy's looks like a gas station from the outside, but don't let those looks fool you! The Bar-B-Q is great at Rudy's and the "sause" can't be beat. I enjoy the sliced turkey and their unique cream corn, but my family loves the extra moist brisket. All of it is tasty. The outdoor dining is great (unless you go in July or August) and really nice as the sun goes down.
Rudy's also servers great breakfast tacos with lots of combinations and they will even custom make one for you.
