This is the epitome of what Austin has to offer. Local austin artisans selling their wares to local Austinites. They sell lots of jewelry, almost all handmade, and then some clothing. The prices are completely reasonable and the people here are fantastic. Just sit down and have a talk with them, each of them has an interesting story of their own. Make sure you come when its nice out, because if its raining, they are not going to be there! more

Street market 7/16/2005

The parks and recreation department hand out permits to jewelry and tie-dye artists, candle makers They set up makeshift shops on 23rd Street between Bevo's Books and Texas French Bread. Pretty stuff and one-of-a-kind gifts made by the one who brought them are a Guadalupe Street tradition. more
