I'm revising my review from a couple of months ago, which was written before Whitaker's had completed the work on our car. At the time, I was frustrated by Whitaker's customer service--specifically that they never told us when dates slipped. At the time, I also felt their prices were going to be steep.
Looking back, I missed the mark in my assessment. In particular, the price for the body work ended up being less than what I'd expected, and less than what we'd been quoted elsewhere. Better still, the quality was first rate.
So, in our experience, we don't agree with other reviewers who found Whitaker's to be pricey.
Overall, despite being upset by the lack of communication as to when the car was would be ready, we came away pleased with Whitaker's. In fact, we took a second vehicle there a month later. (Both vehicles had been damaged in the massive hail storm on March 25.) We wouldn't have do so if we didn't believe that Whitakers did good work for a fair price.

I needed a repair done to the bumper of my Honda. I brought it in, got a quote and a couple of days later we had a hail storm. The shop suddenly became very busy with major work, and my small repair could seem insignificant, but these folks handled it beautifully. They actually went above and beyond by taking care of a couple of scratches in a separate area of the bumper from the damage I brought it in for. They won my business hands down!
Pros: Great work, great customer service
Cons: Parking lot is a bit tight

All questions were answered in a professional and courteous manner. I have admittedly high standards when it comes to customer report and it is a rare occurrence that my standards are exceeded. Your Lakeway shop manager, Alex Mendez, should be commended. He is an outstanding example of courtesy and accomodation.
Alex went out of his way to assist me with my repair needs recently. The car was repaired expertly and on time, but it was his willingness to go out of his way to help me that prompted me to write this.
Thank goodness there are still employees who prize craftmanship and customer relations above profit.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for the high quality of workmenship and professionalism I experienced when I had my wife's Lexus in for work recently. As you know I had been looking for a quality shop to do the work. While the dealership had recommended other establishments, they were on the other side of town, and a good 35-45 minutes or ore away depending on traffic.
The quality of work was excellent. the technique used on the head light covers, the paint match, and the finish could not be seen from the original finish. The job was finished ahead of schedule, and the cost was well within the estimate.
