The initial experience was good. They were very good about explaining to me what was wrong. The rebuild they did on my transmission was expensive, but it was within their estimate and not out of line with what other people seem to be paying. Later, however, I ran into some issues that seemed to be caused by sloppy installation. A few weeks after they finished with the car, an inspection plate fell off the bell housing. Four months later, the transmission cooler lines started to leak because they were rubbing on the chassis.

I have had the hardest time finding a good place to get my vehicles fixed until now. These guys have done an outstanding job on both of my vehicles. They tell me what is wrong and suggest what should be done first and they do not try and sell me extra work that doesn't need to be done. Every job they have done for me has been problem free. I hope I don't have to see them soon, but they are the place to go for me when my cars have problems.

I took my car in to get the windows tinted by these guys and it turned out to be a pretty unpleasant experience. At first the people were incredibly friendly and accomodating, but once they got my business it seemed the tables turned, and they seemed inconvienced when I complained about their sub-par works. The tint was bubbled and was very shoddily completed. By the time I had brought my car back multiple times, it was no longer worth my time to mess with it and I took it more as a 'leave well enough alone' attitude towards it. The manager was friendly enough and seemed to want to help me out, but the employees who actually did the work did not share her need to please. It was cheaper then all the other places, and I got a discount at the neighboring mexican restaurant, but in retrospect Iwould have gladly spent another 20 dollars for a far superior job.

I used to take my car to a little transmission shop in tacoma but when I moved to Auburn I decided to give AAMCO a shot and man what a difference it was walking into AAMCO. It felt like they didn't give a care if I was there customer or not. They were very unorganized and unprofessional, and they took a week and a half longer than expected to fix my car. When I did get my car back it started having problems leaking fluid and shifting out of gear. I took it back and they did not take care of me like they should have.
Would not recommend Auburn AAMCO to anybody, since they can't even do what they specialize in...

They are not the best people in the world to have work on your car, when i left my car i was a little worried. I've heard the stories. they left the radiator cap off my friends car and it did a lot of damage. The people are a little scary looking. The prices are good and it is close to stuff to do. It is not the worst but it is not the best either.

Auburn Nissan estimated $2500 in repairs on my Infiniti, but their master mechanic was willing to buy the car from me for "a couple hundred bucks and the cost of the diagnostic fee." I took it to a different place down the street and got the car fixed for $74. Runs like new. It needed a new rubber tube in the emissions system.
They inflated the cost of repair by including possibly useful but irrelevant things (new spark plug wires) and by including blatantly untrue issues (the crank seal isn't really leaking).
When the car was returned to me, the list of issues that they were willing to put in writing was shorter than what they had earlier claimed.
Bottom line: would you rather pay $2500 for $74 worth of work? Avoid at all costs.
